I would say it's 50-50. If he stays, we overpayWhy are you assuming Hayward is going to leave?

You're probably one of those who never wanted to trade AK, Booz or Deron either.I've said this 1000 times but I'll say it again, thank god no one on this board is our GM.
Hayward is practically an expiring contract. His value is highest right now. We would get pennies on the dollar at the deadline. That trade will be available in January as well.

Why do you assume that all the Jazz players are going to get the MAX? I find it funny how guys are willing to trade anyone on our team for another draft pick but then think our guys are worth the MAX.
DL's job is to make good financial decisions, so I will let him figure it out. However, right now it is ridiculous to panic and just start trading our experienced core guys for the "potential" of the new kid on the block because they might leave.
Jazz have already gone on the record that Hayward is not available. I can't even understand why you want to trade Favors for an unproven third pick who may or may not be any good. Favors plays both ends of the court, likes Utah and can be a 20 10 guy if he were given the ball more.
Over the next 3 years, I like Lyles more than Favors. GS fans didn't realize how good Green was and clung to David Lee. Once Green emerged, Lee became expendable but had lost all trade value.
As for Hayward, he's the best player on our team. I would love to see him support our #1 and maybe #2. He says he's looking forward to the build, but a dissappointing year might lead him to reconsider. I just really hesitate to build it around him. For him to stay, Hood, Lyles and Exum have to evolve to be badass for us to be relevant.

Fine, then we only dump Pleiss and Burke and are at 99M or about 106M
