What's new

Jazz (23-15) @ Grizzlies (23-16) on NBATV - 6 PM

That was such an obvious travel. And a ****ing ******** foul call. Quin needs to take a giant **** in the middle of the court and get ejected by these dickfaced refs

agreed .. at least Rudy had the balls to stand up and get a T

Lyles showed to Quin that he did a mistake to not playing him before. I think Diaw has to be out of the rotation.

Until Hood stops having diarrhea, the Jazz will not be able to beat good teams, unless somebody else really steps up. This was the game for Hill to takeover seeing that nobody else was hitting (and specifically because Hood was not hitting anything), and unfortunately he did not become any more aggressive.

It is a tough call. Diaw is a better defensive matchup for this game against Randolph. But because Hood, Ingles and Mack could not hit jumpers- we really needed someone to hit something. Maybe the minutes of Joe Johnson at the 4 were a mistake.

Hood's shot chart..

I heard that his diarrhea was getting better, but that having Favors on the court is causing it to stick around.

i don't think there's anything to worry about, we made so many mistakes and missed so many shots and FTs and still just lost in the 5th road game ... all good.

Except Quin's got a lot of work to do figuring out managing all these players available to him.

My hell. Utah had a easier schedule when Favors was out, and now that we have to actually play some good teams, it's not that the teams are better, it's because Favors. Yep, the team obviously hasn't had an open shot since Favors returned, cuz we all know that none of our players would ever miss an open shot. Must be Favors.
I haven't looked at the numbers at all. That said the offense has been pretty bad since he's returned. The spacing for hood and Hayward has been reduced for sure.

People did this earlier in the year with Exum. Utah won a few games with Mack after losing a few with Exum playing more and decided Exum was the reason behind the losses. Now that Exum isn't playing, fans need a new scapegoat.

Time for Rudy to move to the bench and become the super sub, right?

Favors is slowly finding his old form, will be close to awesome in another month. Statistically Favors/Gobert together on court are fantastic. FACT

The Exum +/- thing is still just mindblowingly shortsighted.

Also, since Favors is ruining our offense due to spacing issues with him and Gobert on the floor together, I guess when Favors is playing center with Rudy on the bench, the rest of the team just starts draining their jumpshots like a ****, yes?

This spacing issue myth has gotten wayyyyyyy out of control.

Hey coach Quin, just once(because it'll probably only take one time), lose your ****ing **** and stand up for your ****ing team!

I don't know?

Our offense has declined since Favors has returned - not all his fault, maybe just coincidence I don't know - but it worries me. That's all I intended to say, no need to take more from it than that.

Sorry, don't mean to be a dick. Other people have come to the same conclusion, which is why I get frustrated with it. A lot of fans already had it in their head that Favors and Gobert together is a spacing issue, and have decided after a few games with Favors back that this must be the problem. The whole thing has been greatly exaggerated from the beginning, and I hate to see it continue.

One thing I will say is that it is fairly common for teams to have a significant player come back from injury, and it takes time for the team to adjust if they had good chemistry while he was out. That certainly could be part of it, as well as the fact we've had a harder schedule since Favors has come back, but the spacing issue is way overblown.

And just to hit on it again, the team had a stretch where they shot really poorly as a team, and then started shooting better, which coincided with Exum suddenly getting DNPs. Quite a few posters mistakenly decided Exum was the reason we were losing.

I just think fans are a little too quick to look for someone to blame, whenever the team goes through a tough stretch. Neither Exum nor Favors is to blame for the entire team shooting like they are hungover.
