Jazz (31-25) vs Celtics (29-26) @EnergySolutionsArena 2/25/13 @7 PM (MT)

Why is everybody wondering about Hayward's poor play at the end of the game? He ALWAYS sucks when he plays alongside Big Al. It was the same story with him in the first half. Ball movement drops like a rock.

It's half-court basketball, that is how close games are decided 9/10 times. Hayward decided to ISO and failed, or took bad shots off pick n' rolls. He wasn't getting calls at the end of the game, so his driving game wasn't nearly as effective as it was early on.

Ty said he was going to tweak the starting Lineup again next game.

He talked about how Paul had played well as a SF earlier in the year and how he is trying to get Marvin out of his funk. So next game, Paul will start at SF and Marvin will start at PF.

If Corbin is going to end the game with Burks/Hayward, he needs to find out some kind of substitution pattern that allows them to get a little bit of rest. Playing half the 3rd, then the entire 4th isn't a good way to finish games.

Also, what the **** happened on that Celtics play where Courtney Lee took off 3 seconds from the clock? That was major. Wished I recorded it.

The game was lost with 2:30 left in OT, the Jazz up 101-99 and Paul Pierce hits a wide-open 3pt off a pindown. KG set a solid screen on DeMarre and Al - who was in perfect position to help - did absolutely nothing and Pierce had all day to shoot. Ball game. Smart move though to save Favors (who had 5 fouls) in case the Jazz needed his defense in a 4th-overtime.
Sad thing is I've become so accustomed to these sort of inexcusable mistakes I don't even bat an eyelash anymore because they happen so often but the play of our bench to get us back in the game roped me back in and when I saw Pierce come off wide-open I actually shouted at Al through my tv screen. Then I remembered this is the 2012-13 Jazz.

Franklin (or one of his alts) is telling me to say:

"This is part of the secret tank agenda of the Jazz. Once the Jazz get their picks and have destroyed the market-value of their starters (who are also a part of - but not in on - the conspiracy), THEN running an organization with some semblance of a plan finally happens."

On the plus side, there's no way Burks isn't hitting 30-35 until Mo comes back. He's clearly our best PG right now.
