Jazz and Bulls are in active trade discussions regarding Zach LaVine

I think I'd rather max out George Niang. I don't see this helping anything but maybe getting us to the play-in if everything went right.
IDK, I do think we are understating LaVine's potential impact.

If hes healthy he's an easy 25-4-4 type player. Yeah the defense won't be great, but I guess the hope would be Walker Kessler has hit puberty and read some self help books over the off-season and him and Hendricks can carry the defense to at least being decent and your offense is elite with Lauri/Sexton/LaVine

LsVine, Sexton, and Lauri are 3 guys who can easily be over 3 OBPM. Your offense would be elite as long as you don't put negatives around them.

With his age, the only way I’d do this if I’m the Jazz is getting the Bulls 1st round pick next year unprotected…

I just remember two years ago everybody was hot and heavy around the jazz and New York, and then the Cleveland trade came out of nowhere and blew everyone away. This kind of feels the same way to me.

For me the Lavine trade would hinge on two things...

1- what do we get with him for doing the deal. It has to be solid.
2- What can we get for Sexton? As I would want a scenario where Lavine can really shine and we still end up keeping our top 10 pick. If you can profit on a trade of Sexton and an acquisition of Lavine... then you might be able to hit several goals.

This assumes JC/JC are the trade ballast as well. I would prefer 11 to Ayo as the sweetener... but if you also nabbed a good deal for Sexton then maybe I could be convinced its good enough.

If you asked me to pick between giving up assets to get Brandon Ingram or getting assets to take on Lavine... its an easy choice for me. I think Ingram's next deal could be worse than Zach's current one.

I didn't realize how solid Ayo was as a starter and overall last year. Liked him as a rookie and he kinda stagnated. Also didn't realize he has two years at 7m on his deal. I would do the Ayo deal or the deal for 11. Might be a great fit next to Keyonte long term. I would also still look to move Sexton if we did the deal or let it hinge on us having something good for Sexton on the table. You need to provide air for Ayo/Lavine to improve their value and maximize their contribution if you trade for them imo. I think Bulls might be more willing to send 11 than Ayo as he was their current GMs biggest draft win.
