He was one of the best three point shooters in the league LAST YEAR on a mediocre/worsened team that was worse with him on the floor. The list of guys that can spread the floor grows a lot when you stop looking for guys that can defend or rebound at all.

I am not saying we should sign him and play him, I am just saying whoever signs him should use him to get some points. I hate that he sucks at defense, and I hate that he started over Hayward, but he is not a terrible player if you plug him into the right role. I mean, ray Allen is gonna be a hall of famer, and he is not all that different than foye.

The issue is whether the basketball is entertaining and there is a "chance" to win. Watching some NBA hoops is just painful due to style of play. (and many on this board would say Alfense falls into that category.)

Al Jefferson spent past day and a half with Bobcats. He wants to see where D12 goes before committing bc Mavs may offer if it loses on D12

If this happens, it will be very easy to get "depth" before the trade deadline. That's why you don't do anything now.

Your first post sounds more like you are comparing their careers.

Ray in his prime was a much better player than Foye will ever be

Yeah it does after re reading it. For sure ray was better overall. Foye could be a useful piece though, for a coach who knew how to plug him in the right spots. It seems like Corbin expected him to be a three and D guy, and we would get torched by other teams wings. Bench guy playing against second tier is where foye would be king.
 
Looking like Big Al is gone guys... I know it's just a formality, but this is truly a great day to be a Jazz Fan!!!!!
