Jazz Get 21st Overall Pick

What can y’all tell me about Isaac Bonga, and Moritz Wagner? Bates-Diop seems very “Jazz pick”

Wagner stinks on d. I also can’t stand his face. It’s very punchable.

I like Bonga but he seems super raw for us. At least with the 21st pick.

I love Bates-Diop. Didn’t watch him once this year and all of my adoration is based off of 3 minutes of YouTube highlights but the kid can do it all. He shot the ball almost seven more times a game this year (almost doubled) and yet his TS% went up from 53.9% to 57.7%. He also took more than three times as many threes as the year before (5.4 attempts per game) and shot a decent 35.9%. Add in 79.4% from the line last year and I think he can be a solid shooter in the pros. His 8.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.6 steals on top of that help round out a solid overall player who can do a bit of everything.

And oh yeah, he has a supposed 7’4” wingspan. That’s enormous. So he can def play some 3 and 4, especially with the way we’ve shown we can develop players bodies and skills.

The only issues are his age (which I think is always very overrated) and that at 21, he would probably be considered a reach. But I really, really like his physical profile, abilities, and who he is (I think he’s fit the culture well here).

Whoever is the most-likely to be developed into a Favors-ish player (4/5 that's mobile, can protect the rim) that is a legit threat from the perimeter, including guys that could maybe be traded up for. If I'm being irrational, I'm asking for something between Draymond Green and Zingis. A player like that would be the key to unlocking the full destructive potential of this team.

(I realize that could just be Favors but I think it's foolish to assume he becomes a perimeter threat [not just a guy that makes an occasional 3] in year 9.)

I mean, yeah, if that guy exist he is a top 5 pick and not obtainable by Utah. That guy would probably be Jaren Jackson, and he is firmly a top 7, if not a top 3 pick.

Outside of that, Robert Williams is the most Favor-ish player in the draft. He cant shoot at all though and I'm not sure if he ever will be, but he profiles a lot like Favors. I dont think he will last to 21 either though.
