Jazz in a 3 team deal?

Gotta keep reminding myself that many on this board will be furious if the Jazz do nothing, and will be equally furious if the Jazz do anything other than a trade for the end of the bench for an all-star.

The next two days are going to be painful whichever way they go.

Mr. Mcfree bend over my Knee and come get your spankee

If you don't like the Jazz then just say so.

I am MR. Positive. So you can count on me.

I think that the Jazz might win a championship this year. If not then maybe next year... or the next

I'll be the voice of reason here..... It doesn't matter who we get back in a trade. If we got poop back, it's a good deal because it means no more smart as lettuce Cj Miles!

Howard, Miles and possibly Tinsley won't be here in the future, so no big loss. Green will be an RFA this offseason, and Ellington has one year left, then he's RFA. That means Ellington is potentially the only long-term piece in this deal, and the Jazz are adding future salary for him. I'm not sure that makes sense unless the Jazz really like Green and are dedicated to keeping him OR they get another piece (pick or player) that makes it worth their while.

I think he is just a FA after this year but there is a lot of free agents out there the jazz are going to be able to get next year.

Earlier today on 1320 KOC was talking with Spence and that other guy and Spence asked him a kind of obvious question about trading for now or for the future and KOC went on to elaborate. KOC said that trading for an expiring contract doesn't make alot of sense because by the time the guy gets in and takes a physical that several games have passed and then there is no time to practice so it would be like conceding the season for a few game tryout of a player.

KOC also talked about trading expiring contracts or existing contracts for deals that extend longer as part of looking forward to the future.

Did anyone else hear what he was saying?

I hope James Anderson is part of the deal. Was a great shooter and scorer for Oklahoma St. He just doesnt get minutes for the Spurs

Ummm, I know this comment goes against everything this board is about, but not EVERY player that doesn't get minutes is going to be a good player with minutes.

I was talking about Ellington after we played the Wolves - he had a DNP and I stated we should look into this.
