What's new

Jazz @ Kings 3/22/12 8PM MT Game Thread

Huge difference between getting a win and playing winning basketball.

Jazz fans have been down this road before. We've seen for a long time this kind of stuff. We've seen the 6-8 seeds.

We don't want that. We're tired of that.

To me, getting some wins before this boring season is over is cool. But i'd rather have some lotto picks to stack up for a championship run than see us getting our butts booted out of the playoffs quickly.
I see your point, saw it in the first place. Obviously, in every game there are things the guys should do better, but to see all of those as bigger than the win seems strange to me. IF we were a sure fire 1 seed and expected to win most games, maybe...but a win is a win, especially for us at this stage. Maybe the glass is half full, instead of perpetually half empty, as you see it. The team WAS good enough to win in spite of the mistakes, lots of them. I see that as good, they will clean things up and win more. You seem to see it as bad, they will never never fix this and lose more. WE all see the mistakes, they are evident. I guess it is how you choose to view it. Fair enough

Exactly my point. I dont feel good about winning....nothing else needed.

Continue to cut posts and match them to promote your pathetic agenda. But if you can't handle other people's opinion's then you have no business being on a message board.

When you have to cut stuff like what you just did, your true colors are revealed and it really shows a lack of intelligence.

That's cool.

Props to Corbin on getting Burks back in there. He hadn't been having much of a game but CJ just had to come out. I would have liked Favors in there late but for Sap not Al. You haters are nuts. If Al would have had committed those turnovers in crunch time this board would be drowning in magma.

Al made the shot that broke the ice. Al passed out of a collapsed D time and time again in the 4th. Al made the winning shot. But of course the opponent's run was all his fault. Whatever.

Great win and one of the few where the team overcomes a lead on the road late. This Kings team was very confident and was obviously believing they should win. We just beat 2 playoff teams including the 2nd best in the league. To scoff this one off is just sour grapes about being wrong about how fractured/mismanaged/poorly coached this team actually is.

Maybe The Thriller should ask for a name change to Buzz Kill.

Joking: I understand the disappointment. Do you think Indiana is happy about a 2-pt win over Washington? Ugly wins are going to happen. I'd rather have an ugly win than have lost this game, hurt our playoff chances and put Sacramento a game closer to Golden State. And it's good to hear the Jazz players say they're not happy about their performance. They'll learn from this near loss.

why not especially if 8 of those 18 are offensive rbeounds

The lowest a big man can shoot is 45% and still be decent. If they get to the FT line and rebound (Kevin Love). Cousins shoots sub 45%, plays crappy defense, and takes bad shots. He is an incredible talent, but the Kings aren't going to be a playoff team if he plays like he did tonight.

Lets remember that next time we blow chunks against one of the league's worst teams. Again, keep your perspective. A one point win against the WC's 2nd worst team.

If we were supposed to be a great team right now, I might be concerned as well, but we are actually talking about a team that many pundits put dead last in the conference before the season started. We are on a five game win streak and heading into the play-offs if we keep this up with all the young guys contributing a ton. Wins like these must be fantastic for morale and a great learning experience for these guys. Let them and us enjoy the win and the streak. I am sure that Corbin and his staff will make sure that the mistakes made in this game are not easily forgotten and forgiven.

The Jazz played well. The Kings are a handful. They look like possibly the fastest team I've seen all year. Evans, Thornton, and Thomas are as quick as they come, and Cousins has super-star talent (did you see that behind the back move -- haven't seen a big man do that, that well, since Magic). Thompson is no slouch either; he outplayed Millsap. The Jazz struggled against the zone though; when CJ is not hitting we have no other dependable long range shooter.

I want a link for who placed us in LAST place in the CONFERENCE. Please, provide some links.

Serious question, are we better with or without Raja Bell?

Better. Maybe. Carroll played really well but we needed shooting like Jesus needs a haircut in the 4th.

Carroll was so impressive and young that I think he might replace CJ and be our 5th wing that nobody has to worry about disappointing.

I would say yes Bell could have helped us in the 4th. for this game. No in the long run.

So, yeah, we have no dependable long range shooter. Quite remarkable the Jazz win as many games as they do.

very good win (it was on the road, stop complaining you downers) and LOL @ cousins flop into the basketball hoop in the 4th, face first even.

+Favors continues to play well
+Harris making shots
+Big Al with some big D!

-Settling for bad shots when being 'zoned'
-CJ's newly found defense has gone missing
