No, they just can't take on any more salary. A 1st-rounder is guaranteed money for several years. It's better for them to go out and get a vet at the minimum. They can take a chance on a 2nd-rounder and cut him if needed. And they get a future mid-to-late first. A pretty smart trade, actually.

I've always liked Mo and every time I watched him play with the clippers, i'm like "damn, we had him on the Jazz before? let's get him back". The other williams left a big gap at PG, but I don't mind cause we have Favors/Kanter. I think Mo will be comfortable with Corbin since I assume he was comfortable with Sloan.
It will be interesting to see if he can be an actual PG again. In Cleveland he was more of a shooter, taking a backseat to Lebron in creating. And in LA he was a bench scorer.
Really surprised Kevin Jones didn't get drafted. Guy put up numbers in a strong conference. I think he will be a PF in the NBA.
