Jazz May Be A Part of 3-Team Deal w/ Clippers

People don't take risks on players from WVU. See mike gansey and pittsnogle. Then you add Alexander, and teams see that he didn't last 2 years in the NBA.

2nd round pick isn't a risk for one of the best rebounders in college.

Seems like teams were dead set on draft n' stash Euros.

Really surprised Kevin Jones didn't get drafted. Guy put up numbers in a strong conference. I think he will be a PF in the NBA.
+1
kudos for bringing him up.
much better player than the likes of Fab Melo etc..
I however believe he may play SF in the league.
reminds of Trevor Ariza at times.

Jazz like bringing their own past players back. This would be a typical move from them if it goes down.

Although I do not understand why KOC keeps saying that letting go of Mo was the biggest blunder he had done, as if there are'nt other blunders that are right there on top, on hindsight. Like that AK contract or extending Memo or spending several seasons to find out that Deshawn and CJ Miles were'nt going to pan out as starters at SG and quite a few others. Its not like as if Mo left and became a perennial all star immediately. If he shoots better, he is also a little undersized and not a great playmaker. And he is even a couple of months older than Devin Harris, so will be turning 30 soon.

.

Yup, and they like to sign or trade for players they could had for cheap if they drafted smarter ( Boozer, big Al ). I like Mo, but letting him got for 3mil/year to Milwaukee was indeed one of the biggest KOC mistakes.

I don't like Melo or Jones, either one. I usually think your posts are spot on, but I see 0% chance of Kevin Jones owning the ability to play SF in the NBA. I have my doubts that Royce White can effectively play the three .. and he has 10x the skills needed than Jones.

Yes, no way Jones can play SF, at least at this point in his career. He has some shooting skills, but they aren't that polished yet.

So exactly what is going on here? I thought that the trade was done if Mo agreed to it, and I was under the assumption that he did. Can somebody give me some cliff notes on what is going on?

Mo is asking for Jazz to extend his contract a couple of years, while at the same time his agent is contacting every team in the league to find out if Mo can get more years from any of them if he were to opt out. Mo is going to make a financial decision of one year 8.5 or 3 years and who knows how much. Mo has some risk here, and the ball is in his court.

Will you please start linking your information? So far I haven't seen one legitimate source of any info you've been posting.

Thanks!

I would extend him an additional two years. A new deal at 3 for $19M seems about right.

deadline for Dallas and Odom is Friday (I think).

Can't blame Mo for looking after his future.

My hopes:
We get Mo for next year only
We get something else for facilitating the trade
A deal for Harris is made immediately afterward.
