Jazz @ Miami Hotline - 1:30 PM - Sunday Sin Edition

No way....

A fully fit Rudy is still the man.

DM is playing extremely well for a rookie, but the situation allows DM to do what he likes. Need to see him progress into more then just a scorer.

His efficiency has been poor of late and not really getting others involved.

I know most are expecting great things from DM, but I’m still a little reserved, just because he is the only scoring option at the moment on a pretty bad team.

Unfortunately I disagree with you DM embodies more of our Utah Jazz culture then Rudy but i'm not putting them up against each other... hopefully another Stockton to Malone type duo. Rudy can't put together an offensive game together only dunks. tips and put backs. This is DM and Rudy's team but I think DM has the edge imo

I don't disagree with a lot of that, but I would say that Rudy as a rim-runner with space provided by a bunch of unselfish, smart shooters allows him to flourish with the skill set he already has. We saw it last year, and I don't think it's a mistake or that we can't get back to at least that spot.

I absolutely believe Gobert can be a part of a world class defense and offense. One side of the floor is just going to have a bunch more contingencies to make it happen.

Rudy just needs to be paired with some snipers to get this war won for the army named the Utah Jazz, so DL get her done already

I think priority one has to be finding a dynamic 4 that can put up points, is an excellent shooter, and a plus defender.

I know I just kinda asked for a unicorn. I won't give up hope for Porzingis until I have to, but I think Jimmy Butler playing next to a large wing that is capable of playing 4 would be great too (we already have Ingles).

This thing ain't going nowhere without something big happening.

We shouldn't lose hope dude, I'm with you on this though, as I've said earlier Mirotic and Anderson are too expensive. Maybe we can find a great pick in the draft or via the trade deadline.

Aside from the messy last few possessions, I actually think the worst part of this game was in the third quarter. Mitchell was absolutely going off, killing them, put us into a big lead. And then... the team just stopped getting him the ball. They began to lazily just run Snyder's plays, and I get that, but when Mitchell is on like that scrap the playbook; get him the ball.

I did like that Snyder got Rubio out early and put in Hood. He let Mitchell play with 3 other shooters on the court. Having Mitchell, Hood, Ingles, a stretch big and Favors is our best lineup right now. We need to play this more and let Rubio run the 2nd unit.

Three shooters is generous... maybe like 1 and a half.

No more Hood this game. Please. And while you're at it Quin, no more AB either. Thanks. I'm tired of watching them jack up miss after miss after miss

Lol. 2-4 for the game.

That overturned ruling was some rigged foolishness lol it wasn't off DM and the monitor reiterated that, white ball? no heat ball = rigged ball bs!
Does the NBA still have a rule to play the game under protest? This was not a refs judgment call but a rules interpretation. The Miami player's arm was out of bounds when he made contact with the bill. This is no different than him standing out of bounds while contacting the ball. The replay clearly showed it and it was the official's error. I seem to remember some NBA games having to be replayed from the spot of a successful protest.

4 plays that went bad in final 2 mins. The “turnover call” favors hook shot. There are guys open in the corners big fella. Hoods poor shot selection, and DMs rookie moment. #gamechangers

I wouldn’t say it was clearly off mitchell but I think that it most likely was off Mitchell.
I would say I’m 80% certain it was off Mitchell and so I’m glad the refs overturned it as I hunk it was probably the right call.

I hate how it normally has to be 100% clear and indisputable evidence to overturn calls.
I think that when a call is reviewed the person (or persons) doing the review should forget was the original call was and look at the reviews as if for the first time as if no call was ever made. Then make the call that you think is correct. If you are 100% certain, great. If you are only 70% certain then go with that rather than sticking with the original call which you believe is most likely wrong. The original call was made in real time without the benefit of multiple camera angles. Don’t go with the call that is at a disadvantage. Use the technology and make the call that appears to be he most correct.

I guess if upon review it is really 50/50 then tie should go to the call on the field.

- Any lineup that has Hood or AB in it plays terribly.

Just wanted to let you know that the jazz are +25 with Burks on the court this year.

Could've called a timeout before Mitchell ended up running into the backcourt for that pass
Are you sure we had a timeout there? I assumed we were out. If we did then that is a huge **** up that no one had even mentioned.
