What's new

Jazz @ Oklahoma City | Sunday October 31st @ 5pm

I remember reading some garbage last week about the okc fans being the best in the league or some garbage...

There are a lot of empty seats.. no faith lol. Jazz is dominating.

Milsap and al jeff are a force to be reckoned with down low.

Oh yeah, and CJ totally redeemed himself.

Stoked on this game... feel like I could watch it over and over.

The Jazz actually looked like the real Jazz tonight. Showed a lot of intensity. Played smart and shared the ball. Great game by the whole team.

Cj miles 21 points off the bench. Man great game. Also bell played great on ball defense. Also millsap and jefferson dominating.

Bad defense in the second half, but ill take a 21 point win on the road any night. We played amazing d in the first half, I wish that would've continued

AK had a great effort defensively on Durant. Deron played a very good game passing the ball. Offensively we featured Millsap with Jefferson as the secondary scorer. This was an important change because Jefferson didn't need to make decisions about which pass to make. He just shot it. Of course Millsap was brillant so that helped. And when OKC sagged in we had people make jumpers.

Great win by the team... Our offense was much better and players seemed to understand their roles in the offensive schemes. There are still things that have to be worked on like the accuracy and intensity of inside lob passes and how to make effective cuts + effective screens. The guys are working and the amount of time spent learning the sets and Sloan's philosophy will pay off eventually. Defense in the 2nd half was not good at all. I think OKC's full court pressure made our deficiencies on defense clear. Jerry must be thinking he can take those timeouts to the home with him. OKC is a very dangerous, explosive team and they made me feel like they were going to close the gap somehow even when the lead was 17-18. The Jazz were able to handle the pressure of leading on score + playing on the road + having turned the ball over stupidly pretty well.

AK and Millsap are the stars of the night, IMO. Andrei did play stellar defense against KD, did not try stupid fancy passes and moves and contributed to the early lead by the Jazz hugely. Millsap was great on both ends of floor. He matched up well against Thunder bigmen. DEron was OK, by his standarts. He is what we expect him to be except his lazy defense at times. He is still out of rhythm. AJ sucked in first half but his a much better second half really helped us. He has to learn to move without ball and distribute from post. CJ hit big shots and brougt energy and reliable offensive threat off the bench. We need somebody else to step up and become another weapon off the bench, untill Memo comes back. It is difficult to expect 4-5 same guys to score 15-20 pts efficiently. We need more. Watson can and should become a 8-10 pts per game player.

What made the Jazz successful in the old days was that Malone could actually make plays. Other teams would have to worry about his passing. Millsap seems to actually have a good passing game too. He looks to pass even in the paint.

I like the idea of Millsap being the pick and roll guy and having Jefferson always be in the game when Deron is out. I actually did not watch the game though. Does anyone know if Jefferson was in the game when Deron was not?

Jefferson is a for sure a better secondary scorer because he is not used to being a playmaker. Jefferson can play close to the basket.
