Why, you ask?

Well, there won't be a frontcourt prospect as good as 6'11" Jan Vesely available at #12. The Jazz have to grab Vesely at #3 if they want to draft a decent frontcourt player.

The question is, will there be a great PG prospect available at #12?

The answer is yes!

Word is the Jazz have just discovered an absolute gem of a PG prospect at #12. Not Jimmer. Not Knight. Not Walker.

A player who could end up better than all three.

This super talented PG prospect stands 6'3"/6'4", weighs 208 lbs, has elite physical athleticism, 40" vertical leap, and a stunning 7'0" wingspan. Plus, basketball skills that are reminiscent of Dwyane Wade and Derrick Rose.

His name is Reggie Jackson of Boston College. Remember the name. Did not participate in the Chicago pre-draft camp due to a minor injury, but this guy is the REAL DEAL at the PG position.

Averaged 18.2 pts. 4.3 rebs. 4.5 asts. 1.1 stls. 50.3% fg. 79.6% ft. 42% 3-point fg. as a Junior this past season at Boston College.

Lots of similarity between this guy and Derrick Rose/Dwyane Wade in college.

Here he tells a 6'10" 263 lbs. teammate to stand straight up between him and the basket. He then jumps clean over his 6'10" teammate and dunks. Amazing.

Very Derrick Rose/Dwyane Wade-ish. Will be the steal of the draft.

I like both players but picking both at the Jazz picks would be a stretch. Besides Vesely can't make free throws and his out side shot is average at best. Is he any better than AK? Jackson is one of my sleepers along with Malcom Lee at SG and Marshon Brooks. If the Jazz are going to draft Vesely then why not do a draft day deal with Washington. Washington gets #3 and the Jazz get #6 and #18. Then the Jazz can draft Vesely at 6, Biyombo/Singleton/Thompson at 12 and then take a flyer on Jackson/Lee/Brooks at 18.

I think that would be a lot better than drafting Vesely/Jackson too high. All KOC has to do is make Washington want the 3rd pick. I know that would give the Jazz three picks but next year the Jazz are not guarantee to have any picks if or they may get two. I think the probability is that the Jazz may get one or none. I think the Jazz can make the playoffs and I think GS has a shot have getting a pick in the top 7.

Kanter and Jonas aren't decent frontcourt players? If the Jazz draft Vesely...ick.

I think Utah has a chance to make the playoffs. Just depends on what happens next week. But I do agree, I think they end up with 1 draft pick next year. And I like your idea Cowhide if the Jazz our going to take Vesley why not make that trade with Washington and pick up 3 picks for the 1 and draft Jackson at 18, then use 6 on Vesley and still go after Jimmer,Singleton, or Burk at 12?

Man it just shows how hard KOC job is, So many choices this year. Who to draft, to trade or not to trade?, resign AK, resign Fez? Just so many things to workout in the next week! Im just glad I work at a call center today :)

I'd be okay with those two picks. I don't think Valanciunas has top-of-lotto talent. Kanter may not be that capable defensively. Knight may not become an elite PG. Vesely could be a nice all-around player if he develops a bit more. I still like Montiejunas too.

I'm having a difficult time thinkin this guy even goes top 10.

I'll be super surprised if he drops out of the top 10. He has a ton of potential, and even if he doesn't pan out he will still be useful just because of his size and athletic ability.

For Vesely see the workout thread. We will be watching him on Sunday. I know he is not a KY player.

I haven't homered on this board, though many would disagree, I have only shared direct insight on UK players (because it's relevant in this draft).
Having said that, are there those that TRULY believe we'd pick Jan with our 3rd pick?

Certainly a possibility. We have gone to Belgrade to see him. We are now going to NJ to see him. Now granted i think this could also show us that there is a real possibility that we might move down a few spots.

There's an even better secret in this video (and it's not hiring officials who will majorly pimp our players - though that would be good too). Check it out. They turned half of the court into ice. Our guys show up wearing skates. Theirs don't. Voila. We win by a landslide every night. Draft Christy Yamaguchi!

I like Reggie Jackson but have the Jazz even worked him out?

Did you miss the part about Vesely not being able to hold onto the ball. He has terrible hands.

This draft cannot happen soon enough. Thankfully. We then have a lockout to wade through after that. Good times.
