Jazz players at the World Cup

Giannis gave Gobert (#16) some problems, was probably the reason the coach yelled at him.

Can anyone imagine if the Jazz had drafted Giannas instead of Burke.

Exum
Hayward
Giannas
Kanter
Favors

with Rudy, Alex, Rodney off the bench.

France vs Serbia is on. Gobert starts on the bench...

Gobert in... First rebound...
Gobert and-1... misses the FT.
Gobert with a block in D.... Gobert rebound in D.
...
second quarter.
Gobert O. reb. followed by block in D.

..........
3d quarter on... Gobert starts.
Gobert is having problems with Raduljica in D and not being particularly useful in O either, just made a mistake by not shooting and looking to pass with 2 seconds to go on the clock.
2 hard hard picks in a row by Gobert leave 2 Serbian players on the floor. The 3pt is missed, but there is a foul on the rebound.
Rudy out... he's having trouble with physical centers like Raduljica.
..........
4th quarter
Gobert back in with 4:30 to go...
Nice defense on Raduljica in the post in the first possession.
Great block... ruled a foul.
Nice rebound on an airball, fouled... misses both... the coach took him out.

He also had a sweet dish out of a pick and roll to Fournier which led to a foul. Apparently they're crediting players with assists on passes that lead to shooting fouls (do they have to make both free throws?); Gobert was given an assist after Fournier hit both free throws.

Yeah, in FIBA they give an assist if both free throws (or all 3) are made.

No need to make both or all three free throws for the assist. Making at least one of the free throws is enough. But the leading pass has to suit the assist definitions.
