What's new

Jazz players at the World Cup

What happened? Was it an open dunk attempt and didn't get up high enough or what?

He followed his own miss on a 3 pointer, tried to reverse it under the rim, I think too quickly and just put the ball right into the bottom of the rim.

When he's aggressive and gets in the paint good things happen. When he's passive, he's hardly ever visible.

Delladova is slower than his guy and he makes the rest of the Aussies look slower, actually Exum looks like he's the only guy quicker and faster than Lithuanian guys ,they back up on him, they pressure Delladova

From what I have seen and heard about exum this summer, I have come to the conclusion that Burks and trey don't need to worry about losing thier jobs next season

Lithuania's bigs are killing them. Probably 35 of their 55 are inside the paint or coming from fouls inside the paint.

My takeaway from this summer is Exum has to be the primary ball handler to really have any impact.

Did Exum hit that fadeaway jumper?

Looked like it fell but I didn't see the score move and it went to break. >.>

The play-by-play has it as a miss. Exum with 5 points (1-3 from 2, 1-4 from 3) and 1 assist at the half.

I'd like to see Exum do something other than raise or clap his hands calling for the ball when he's playing the 2. This is a good opportunity for him to learn how to play off-ball. At this point, he's a lot better with the ball in his hands, and he did well the few times he tried to beat his man off the dribble.

I'm still liking what Motum brings to the table. Kinda crazy the Aussie bigs are so bad that they went with Motum against Val for a few minutes. How the hell is Aron Baynes in the NBA?

Val is a monster.15 points, 6 rebounds. He drew 6 fouls while committing none. Still figuring out how to play in the post, but the work he's done with Hakeem may pay off in the future.

I recently saw a video of Exum doing a 3pt shooting drill at the Nike hoop summit(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBdxq5KFAzA). He was dropping them pretty consistently. Possibly 70%. His stroke is not that bad really. He can be at least an OK shooter. To me it seems like he's just not in good game shape and that's affecting pretty much everything in his game.

Going to take a while with Exum until he's ready. Good news is that (if I'm recalling right), Valanciunas was equally as unready 3 years ago at 19 years old. Just give Dante time.
