What's new

Jazz players at the World Cup

Rudy looked like Hibbert out there. Completely stifling penetration, and clobbering most of the post-ups sent his way. It was awesome seeing the PGs of Spain (all of whom with incredible experience mind you) circle in and out of the paint.

I'd love love LOVE to see Gobert take on America.

Except for that Rudy is actually quick enough to show on the pick and roll and get back... Hibbert ain't that fast.

I got GOBERT FEVER... the only cure is more GOBERT!

Two things that aren't getting mentioned.

-Gobert plays so hard. He gives a lot of effort. He might have to work on containing that energy, and being focused this year.

-He's running so well down the court. He looks like hes in great shape.

I just feel he has the will to fight, and a competitive spirit. We need that.

I don't want him to contain a thing. The Jazz need FIRE. Rudy can bring it!
With Favors starting, Gobert only needs to give Utah 18-20 mins/per. There are 5 or 6 bigs (counting Evans) all fighting for minutes. Kanter could even play a few mins at the 5 if Favors and Gobert were both to get into foul trouble. Have to say I'm looking forward to seeing Gobert and Hood the most this season. I'd say Exum, but I know he's a project; he's a year away from turning heads.

He is also the quickest +7 footer I can remember seeing. And he uses it, he hustles all the time, comes out quickly to set screens.

If I were an NBA team, I'd sign Teodosic. Serbia is playing great team basketball. The hedge that Gobert does on the PG usually make it hard for the PG to initiate attack, but Teodosic has had no problem with it, he makes the quick accurate pass to Gobert's man under the basket or to the guy whose defender is helping on Gobert's man and it's over.

Definitely, but he wants to be the star in Europe. I would love to see him in the NBA though. A NBA team would have to come up with some big money.

Gobert with 3 fouls. Not as much of a factor in this game. Serbia hitting 3s so big difference from the Spanish.

Not sure why you linked to this. He is a free agent. Clippers waived him.

I thought you meant.....who the hell is that guy.....he should be in the NBA. Like we typically do for a handful of guy during the International tourneys. I had no clue who he was until I googled him a couple days ago because I had that thought. Just pointing it out.

Gotcha. There are teams that could use him as a backup. Reminds me a little of Pek. Looks like scouts will get a look at him Sunday vs US unless France can mount a comeback.

I am imagining the serious outcoaching that will happen in the finals.
