jazz predicted second worst team overall

Seven? I only count six, unless the new Clark guy is one which is a helluva stretch.

Also, it's rebuilding, not tanking. I guarantee that nobody on the roster including the coaches is going to lose games on purpose. That isn't who they are. Lindsey might have made it easier for Ty to give the young core minutes, but they, coaches and players, will still go out there and try to win games. And you can bet that when teams see 'Jazz' on their schedule, they will stay up late the previous night partying because they figure that it's a gimme game for them. Jazz suprise next year, otherwise the 'core' players aren't that good anyway.

So when Seatle/OKC was loosing a those games with Durant and Westbrook non of there core guys were good................. Right????

Exactly. Should have traded them when they could. Now look; OKC is stuck and will never win a championship.

I've taken some good natured ribbing for my stance in this thread. My main concern is that the C6 get good playing time. That is clearly going to happen. So either way I am good.

This season will be fun to watch and I am thrilled with our future. However the chips fall. No wins or 82. I am fully on board and excited.

After 2 years of reading thousands of posts about how bad Jefferson and Mo and Braille and Howard and Tinsley and Watson are , and even Millsap to some degree,
and how Favors and Kanter and Hayward and Burks are better and should get more playing time, it is odd to see the majority of the board predicting suckitude.
Bench strength is a cop out.

Nice to know you like ribbed. I don't feel so bad.

I couldn't disagree more with the bolded.

This.

I guess when OKC had a bottom 5 record with Durant and Westbrook, that showed they clearly weren't talented?

So when Seatle/OKC was loosing a those games with Durant and Westbrook non of there core guys were good................. Right????

Wasn't OKC losing all those games when Durant and Westbrook were a lot younger than our guys? I think it was right about this time that their guys were starting to win.

We aren't talking about all rookies here. I think it could be alarming if we are really bad. It just depends on why we were bad. I think we all want it to be because the benched failed the starters game after gane. But more than likely it will be because the core4 wasn't very good in a lot of games either.

Um, that's a core....2. We have at least a core 5 and though Durant is a special player, who's to say that one of our guys doesn't come kinda close?

You think one of our guys will come close to Durant?

I don't...I don't even know how to respond to that.

None of them are but I can see 2-3 of them being Allstars. Also we have a much larger core than OKC did in the time referenced. I think that will show to some extent.

Who says?

OKC had Durant, Westbrook, Green, Kristic and Collison in '08-'09 when they won just 23 games. They also had a deeper bench. Westbrook was a rookie (like Burke), Green and Durant were in their 2nd years. Granted, that's a year less than Kanter and two years less than Favors, but Green also had 3 years of college. OKC also gave their young guys a lot of minutes, unlike what Corbin did with Burks and Kanter. I'd say there are a lot of parallels.

People keep saying we have a "core5." Sorry, I just don't buy that...yet. Burke has done nothing yet. Burks has been underwhelming thus far. I see a core3 with two of those players (Kanter and Favors) having huge holes in their games right now. The Jazz WILL struggle.

I say. Thought that was obvious lol. At this point it is all opinion that isn't worth debating. Time will tell and either way I feel the Jazz win and win big. Go jazz!!

First you change your name to Motown because you like MoWill, then shortly after the name change you hate MoWill.

Then you change your name to Coure4, and now you're denouncing the Core4 to Core3.

You should just change your name to something you don't mind hating forever.

No, I'm just saying we don't know if we have the fourth member of our barbershop quartet right now. The core4 could very well be Favors, Kanter, Burks and Wiggins (or Jabari or Harrison), with Burks and Burke being support players or traded for other assets.

As for your suggestion, perhaps I should use my ex-wife's name?

I guarantee you everyone here has a pretty loud thought in the back of our head that we will surprise the NBA, but none of us want to get our hopes up and have our hope crushed.

Were they really younger? Enes just turned 21. And it's not JUST about age. I guarantee you Durant and Westbrook got more total minutes played their rookie years than Kanter or Burks did their first two years.

That would be the safest name choice.

Safe bet, especially since the 1st year for Burks and Kanter was a lockout season.
