What's new

jazz predicted second worst team overall

I feel like I'm beating a dead horse... But I swear I saw it twitch!!!

Out of the "perceived" starters....

Burke
Burks
Hayward
Kanter
Favors

Only one has started games on a consistent basis...

Our two bigs are going to have to adjust playing starters night in and night out and will have to learn not to get into foul trouble, something they had trouble with coming of the bench!!

Burks is a big IF.. And that's coming from the biggest Burks homer on this site. My guess is he struggles a bit as a starter and eventually comes of the bench where things then start to click for him!!!

Burke is a straight up unknown NBA prospect and we are throwing him in the lions den...
His confidence and attitude will do him wonders, but honestly he will have times when he struggles and we will be down on the kid.... But I think he'll eventually be a solid player ala Conley!!!

Now our bench.....

Two washed up vets....
A freakishly long Frenchie
A good SG/SF coming off his 2nd ACL injury
A DLeague combo guard and an undrafted combo guard
A half decent vet pg
And a 1rst place and 2nd place Slam dunker!!!!

So yeah while I will love every second of this upcoming season I'm being realistic and a bit hopeful about the win column!!!!

Go Jazz!!!!

The big key for this year is to enjoy the games, but don't look at the score. Put a little piece of cardboard over the area where the score is. It will be fun, but the Jazz are going to lose...a lot.

Sloan is not coaching anymore, so the old outperform adage is out.

But Corbin learned Sloan's Sytem. Corbin is still using Sloan's system. Sloan is there to teach Corbin the system. Its the system!!!!!

====================

2nd worst? Who could possibly be worse than the Jazz this season?

+Jazz 'system' is built around a dependable post scorer and an offense run by a proven pg. the Jazz have neither. Remember what happened when Arroyo tried to pound the floor for 23 seconds? It was awful.

+Bad teams in the NBA can still win games if they have a scorer. Jazz don't have a proven scorer. (or is it shooter, I forget) Bad things happen when guys who are not scorers get frustrated, too often they break the offense and attempt to become scorers. Very bad.

+ Jazz have front court players of Favors, Kanter, Gobert, Evans, & Biedrins. Fouls should be plentiful. While I don't think they will break the record for the most fouls it could get real ugly at times by disrupting rythym and game flow, and rotations...things Coach Corbin struggled with anyway.

I am sticking with my earlier prediction. 18 wins.
