I just laugh at how bi-polar this forum is on Gordan.

I thought tonight was his better night. It was nice to actually see that he DID SOMETHING rather than quietly play his minutes.
 
First Back to Back of the season. You could tell our guys were clearly not prepared for it
 
I vote for Hayward's new nickname being The Commissioner.

How was Fes overall tonight? 9 points, 6 rebounds looks solid enough. However, that was on 3-9 from the field and he had just one assist. Worse, I see no blocks, 3 blocks against, 3 turnovers, and 5 personal fouls. So I ask you, how was he because I realize a box score is not an answer.
 
Going by just boxscore looks like Evans had a very underrated night. In just 11 mins, 7pts 4 rebs, 1 assist, 1 stl

I think perhaps the most impressive thing about Fes so far has been the free throw shooting. Has the world gone mad. Not looking to good for Thompson. He might be the first de facto cut. Not sure what Sloan's intent with Gaines not playing. Be interesting to see if he gets any playing time next game. If not I would say he is gone.

The Jazz are just trying to get a good look at how all 3 backup PG's are running the offense. Gaines got the 4th qtr of game 1 and the 2nd qtr of gm 2. Price got the 2nd qtr of gm 1 and the 2nd qtr of game 3 against Phoenix (he played in the 2nd game but that was at SG). Watson's played the 4th qtr of the 2nd and 3rd preseason games. I expect the coaches to continue to distribute PT evenly until someone emerges, but Gaines has played well.

True, but the problem for Gaines is do we need 4 guys who can play the point. Obviously Price could the play the 2 against smaller teams, but 4 is an awful lot of PGs to keep. He is the one without the guaranteed contract so he is in peril.
 
IMO Gaines and Evans have played their analglands off. They deserve roster spots. Thompson and Nichols have shown flashes of NBA ready talent at times but have been unimpressive at others. I think those two guys are goners. That leaves us with 15 but I don't think we keep 15. I think we stay at 14 which means Gaines is gone too. Sad but true
