Jazz Sign Ekpe Udoh

Not really. Their interior defense blows and they were 28th in rebounding. Most of those guys have no business getting any sort of major minutes on a great team.

Their interior defense isnt great as they have no big time rim protection, but it doesnt blow. They were 12th in defensive rating despite having the worst defensive players in the NBA play 34 mpg. I know they have some big time wing defender, but you dont become that solid of a team on D with bad interior defense.

Horford is still one of the smartest big men in the NBA w/ exceptional shooting ability and being on part w/ Gasol in terms of passing ability to go along w/ great feet and solid rim protection ability. There other bigs are all tough and sound on defense who can all shoot to some degree.

Teams like Dallas, Sacramento, Lakers, Portland (before Nurkic at least), Chicago, Indiana, Philly (w/o Embiid most of year), Washington, Milwaukee, Charlotte, Brooklyn, and Phoenix all had worse front-courts in terms of depth and overall talent.

Their rebounding does blow though and it's a big problem for them.

Udoh is a more versatile defender than Withey, has some experience on winning teams, and is probably very motivated. I'm not sold on Bradley as a legit NBA center yet so I like this move considering the price and years.

I really like what the Jazz have done in the wake of the Hayward departure. At first glance you want them to add some scoring, but in the long run I think it will be really good for guys currently on the roster to get a chance to be more featured players. I'm especially interested in seeing how Exum, Mitchell, and Hood, and maybe even Burks step up as well as what Quin can do with Rubio. Of course if some great trade presents itself I still would prefer the Jazz find a way to try to move Favors because I feel there is no way he's coming back and I'd like to get something out of that asset. I was really hoping that the Windhorst rumors were true.

Yeah we will see. Defense heavy, no offense.

Actually, according to basketballreference.com, Favors playing time was divided between PF and C in BOTH the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons in the exact same manner: 46% at PF and 54% at C. Despite that very, his PER was 21.6 during 2015-16 and 15.8 2016-17. Hence, Favors' success or failure cannot be attributed to playing one or other spot.

Favors doesnt have championship heart. He always misses both games and free throws when needed and doesnt show up in big games. fools gold boys

Love how people take a few memories of a player playing bad in a close game then draw absolute conclusion to how they always play bad in close games.

Jerebko played 78 games each of the last two seasons with Celtics
He averaged about 15 minutes per game
He is not coming here to play occasionally
He will play significant and important minutes

Based on what facts?

He just listed them....

Two facts: GP and MPG? Compelling argument.
I see minutes if DFav is gone or injured. Otherwise, it is far from certain "He WILL play....." as you guys are arguing.

Jerebko plays with passion and heart. That will get him on the court along with the fact he can stretch the floor.Me Eyeballs think so.
