What's new

Jazz @ Suns Fri. Oct. 9th at 8pm MDT

2-0 with Burke.
0-1 without him.

That said, are there any FA's out there we could sign? Our bench is gonna blow.

I'm with salt13. After the first quarter (where we got off to another fast start!) Quin was having them play with a different emphasis. Everybody was trying to do an extra-something with the ball in their hands. During media day Quin mentioned playing with FORCE. I'd imagine the best way to grow in that sense, would be to experiment with different moods and modalities during games. And that's what preseason is for.

At least we see now that we need Trey Burke, he does contribute some skill. Even though so many people torch him.

he's useful somewhere on a 15-man roster. I don't think many people would disagree with that.

And last night didn't "prove" much of anything..... but it certainly didn't prove we need him in the starting lineup. The first quarter of the game (arguably the only quarter we played according to our main principles), we scored 30 points and had a double-digit lead at one point. I liked the way Raul was fitting in.

The 1st Qtr of the Laker games also got off to a fast start with Burke, my point being it is more of a Hayward and to a lesser degree Burks thing, IMO.

This.
I could see a problem with not enough shots/balls to go around. Favors, Hayward, Burks, Burke, and Hood are all going to want a certain amount of touches and shots. Put neto in (a guy who i dont think cares about shots) and I think it could help keep everyone happy better.

Raul needs to be an adequate catch-and-shoot 3-point shooter to really make it work. I hope he's working on it 10 hours a day. Get those shots up, braugh.

i'm glad you have been in the meadow camp from day one. I remember Orangello in that camp as well
I do like a good meadow but I think you're referring to Neto. Yes, their first SL I said Neto is better than Trey and got flamed for it.

Welcome aboard everyone.

the problem in the PHX game, and in the 2nd Lakers game was once we rolled out Pleiss and Booker/Lyles together. Those dudes can't defend for ****.

we NEED Withey as the second center. I think we need to go 12-13' Pacers and just play an 8-9 man rotation as often as we can, with the starters being:

Gobert
Favors
Hayward
Burks
Neto

and the three-four dudes off the bench being Withey, Hood, Millsap (for defense) and Burke.

Pleiss can't play. Booker's too sketchy on both ends of the floor, Lyles needs serious work on D (which he'll get in practice) and Ingles can play...some. Bruce Cotton is just too smalll to defend or see plays. Cooley is too small.

This would allow for ample time of triple wing, and Hayward at the 4 occasionally so Derrick could rest, while still having 48 minutes of 7'0" shot blocking.

Pleiss makes Kanter's defense desirable.

So how many people jumped off the bandwagon or even considered it because of the L last night?

Reason I ask is I want to know who the true believers are!!

GO JAZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLAYOFFS 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh, I still believe!!!! Our starters have been dominant. The problems have been the Pleiss/Booker or Pleiss/Lyles pairing.
