You damn near are suggesting it. Don't act like you arent.
It's a terrible idea. No way in hell would Dennis Lindsey be thinking this. So yes, it's your idea.
then come up with your own explanation dumb***.

Paul is not the missing piece to a championship team. This is rumor-mongering and nothing more.
At least it better be. If that is the free agent we are targeting we are setting our sights pretty damn low.
No offense Paul. I like you and all but. Damn.
I am behind and it look like we've already discussed this, but yeah the only way this has truth to it is if Favors is on the way out. It would be a risky move, but lets say we trade Favs to the Knicks and draft Porz... then we bring in the Millman for immediate help while Porz is developing.
What team do you like better? I really like Favs though, as a player and a person.
Haven't you heard? Gobert hit 9 fifteen footers in a row. NINE!
Sap was one of my favorite Jazz players of all time. Still, this makes very little sense to me, and makes no sense if it means Favors going to the bench. It makes a little more if he agrees to go to the bench, and I probably wouldn't mind that too much as long as it doesn't screw with the chemistry.
All that being said I'd rather see DeMarre back.
I'm sure this has been mentioned at least somewhere past page 2, but Favors and Gobert desperately need a 4 who can spread the floor for them. Millsap is the perfect compliment while not sacrificing defense like picking up someone of David Lee's character.
So does anyone see this as a possibility?
It's "the grass is always greener..." mentality. It's the same thing with draft picks. The players you have are less appealing than some rookie with impressive combine measurements.Wait you think....nevermind. Why do people think Favors is some kind of scrub?
Why would it be a one year rental? DL also said the Jazz were ahead of schedule and might look to accelerate the process, but team chemistry would be a huge consideration. So no , Jazz aren't trading for Stephenson. But if Paul wanted to return to the Jazz, I'm sure he's that exact type of veteran they'd welcome, albeit as a likely 6th man.Sure it's possible, just not very likely. Why? Because DL has repeatedly said that the Jazz "won't skip steps" and taking a one year rental on Millsap is a step leading nowhere.
Ryan McDonald @ryanwmcdonald
"The rumor that the Jazz will pursue Paul Millsap this summer is so intriguing. I've never loved Derrick Favors' game the way many people do...
...A starting lineup with Rodney Hood and Paul Millsap sounds so much more fun offensively than Alec Burks and Derrick Favors"

They are saying he'd be the starting small forward... I really don't like that
I suggested that the Jazz would do this about 3 months ago and got blasted. Still think they will do it and if they get him, he will start at the 3. Too many reasons why this makes sense. And it positions us to play against smaller lineups.
