Jazz vs. Trail Blazers (8:30 MT on TNT)

Why do people keep saying this? Exum shut off Harden's water in a playoff series. He frustrated a league MVP in the playoffs to the point where the MVP didn't know what to do.

I'm happy to have Clarkson but come on this is bs.

Exum was a complete liability on the court. For whatever positive he showed a few years ago for a few minutes against Harden, we have 5 years of forgettable offense. It’s hard to put a player on the floor who doesn’t have good ballhandling, body control, or shooting ability. Yes, Clarkson already showed me far more tonight without knowing any plays, than Exum ever did.

If things continue at this pace, Favors may end up being a very legitimate target with the MLE.

That could be.

All I know is that I cringe everytime Gobert goes out and expect the other team to go on a run. Davis sucks at screens, doesn’t roll, has no shot, and seems to be a better help defender than post defender.

bradley can at least set screens and make a shot here and there.

Favors would enable us to go big at times and/or give Gobert a rest.

Quin got so pissed at Bradley for his spectacularly pathetic defense we may not see him for a while.

Bench is still a problem. Mitchell, Gobert, Bogey and Ingles still played 36+ minutes each, even with Clarkson playing 21.

Clarkson is obviously the better player. But to say he's better in one game for us than Exum ever was for us is nonsense. Dante had his good moments. They may have been rare but they still happened.

I love how the Exum homers are still referring back to a game two years ago to point to “refute” criticisms of their boy. They’re too dumb to realize that this form of argument actually reinforces (it does not refute) criticism of Exum.

Thanks for proving my point about how useless Exum was and how much better (already) Clarkson is.

Agreed.

Got to find a backup 5. I think a 5 that doesn’t suck will do wonders in freeing up our guards. Davis sets awful screens.

we may need to fire up the G league guy soon too.

no. It really isn’t.

Having to dig deep to some game played over 2 years ago in a weak *** attempt to point to a positive in 5 years worth of Exum gamesome only proves my point.

Have a great night!
