What's new

Jazz wins over under

That would be 2nd seed in the East, HAHAHA

Which is why I want the top 16 teams (record wise) in the playoffs and seeding is done by record with no preference to division winners.

#1 v. #16
#2 v. #15
and so on. That gives more unique matchups and the elite eastern teams have a playoff schedule on par with the west as far as toughness.

I think most on here are being optimistic (as we usually are as fans). Much of the West got better, and there are not many teams that you would argue got worse. Spurs, Clippers, Pelicans, Wolves, Lakers, Houston and Thunder all theoretically should be better next season. I think the Vegas line for us will be .500, but my opinion is that we'll win 44-45 games and get the 8th seed.

For those who bet: What number would make you not want to bet on the over? What number would make you want to bet on the under?

If they set it at 47.5, would you bet the over?

If they set it at 50.5, would you be the under?

I'm thinking 48 so I would take the over on the 1st and under on the 2nd, but the 1st bet would make me more nervous.

Jazz won 43 games in 2013.

Rudy Gobert > Al Jefferson
Derrick Favors = Millsap on offense, >> on defense.
Gordon Hayward >>>> Gordon Hayward
Alec Burks >>> Randy Foye.
I'm not rating Mo against Dante, but the defense is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Rodney Hood < Marvin Williams. This is the most likely to reverse?

Pretty good starting point IMO if all else were equal.

47.5 I wouldn't bet, but if I HAD to I would take the under.
50.5 I go under BIG.

Schedule matters

Which group do we play four times:

Warriors
Clippers
Suns
Spurs
Rockets
Grizzlies,

Kings
Lakers
Suns
Pelicans
Mavericks
Grizzlies,

etc

Of the 4 teams we play 3 times which ones do we get home court advantage?
What will our road schedule be like?

Good news is our division isn't looking so hot. We should win Nuggets, T'wolves, Blazers series. Durant has to bounce back before we crown OKC elite again.

With our youth confidence is of huge importance. The key will be to minimize losing streaks. Given a favorable schedule 50, a tough one 42, likely it will be somewhere in between 46.

So I have been saving up my change for quite a while and now have a substantial amount and I am thinking I want to possibly bet it on the jazz wins this next season. (I'm going to wendover for a bachelor party next month and want to place the bet then)

I think the jazz will win around 48-50 games next season.
Does anyone know if the over/under for jazz wins next year is out yet to bet on? If so what does Vegas think the jazz number will be?

I'm guessing that Vegas will have it at about 43 wins.

How many games does everyone else think the jazz will win next year?

What do you guys think Vegas prediction will be?

(I might also put some money down on green bay to win the super bowl if I get decent odds)

You won't be able to bet the over under until October. Also, Wendover normally doesn't have the over under until right before the season and the Jazz line is usually really inflated.

I would not bet the over if it were 47.5.... If I'm putting down 500 dollars (allot of money to me) then I have to be very confident and need a big cushion.

I would rather bet the under on 50 tbh. (Though I wouldn't do that bet either)

If Vegas has it over 43 wins (43.5-and up) then I'm not betting

Ya I know about the October thing.

My sister is moving to Vegas next month so I can use visiting her as an excuse for me to go to Vegas and place the bet

I think it will be about 41.5

And I think that the Mavs, Blazers and Kings got worse (better talent but man they will be a beautiful train wreck of personalities and clashes).

Lakers got better but not enough.

Grizzlies, Suns, Rockets, Nuggets and Warriors stayed about even.

Really improved teams are the Thunder, Wolves, Spurs, Pelicans, Clips and Jazz.

Edit: Also if you are right on who improved and who didn't then I think that 44-45 wins won't be enough for the 8th seed. It'll be closer to 50.
