Jazzfanz ALL-TIME Fantasy Draft

Enes CanTear You Apart, thanks for backing my up on the Euro thing. Some Euro's are very overrated and there are a handful that if they had the chance to play in the NBA extending years in their prime they would be talked about as top for their position.

I thought nightmare and ugli had the strongest starts, but I am questioning the ability of their later picks from the early days of the league to compete against modern players.
IMO, the biggest steals so far have been Kareem and Durant, but leaning towards agreeing with Wade > West/Cousy. , + therefore liking Shaq/Durant/Wade chances.

(although, seriously, any of the teams could compete, it is all very speculative)

That's the main difference between you and us sir, our viewpoint isn't just NBA-focused. Not to mention that they are vastly different players, in terms of playing positions. However, of course I respect your opinion even though I kindly disagree.

They did play different positions, but when you rank one above the other, I have to consider that you are comparing the player overall. Galis may have dominated European ball in the late 70's/80's, but Dirk has been dominant in the NBA during a time when foreign players are prevalent. Dirk has shown he can do it against the best in the world. Galis has questions, in my mind.

I texted UGLI's mom to get a hold of him, but I haven't seen any reply yet .. I think she's kinda mad at me..

So far IMHO, for four players who would beat in 7 game series:
Whisky> spycam> Franklin> nightmare> Siromar> Numberica> Catchall

Players overrated by jazzfanz IMO include
Olijuwan, Isiah, Erving, Duncun, Ewing, DRob, KG, Howard
I also am suspect of anyone playing before 1975.
Notice that the first pick of your favorite team was first on my list of most overrated.

We're overrating Duncan and Erving??? LMAO..

Bro, Maravich could pass the ball. He may have some turnover issues from attempting too much razzle dazzle and forcing it, but you can't honestly say that he wasn't a great passer.

He was a great flashy passer, he wasn't a great fundamental passer. He wasn't worried about making anyone better, just about making himself look good.

I didn't state the difference between the players to sake of the argument, it's my poor english.

On the Galis not being better than Dirk, like I said, it's a matter of different viewpoints in my opinion. I just don't agree the basic idea of if a player isn't/wasn't in the NBA or if he hasn't proved himself in the NBA, then he's not good or can't be good as much as the ones in the NBA are. Same thing with Diamantidis for instance, only a few euro-people would select Nash over Diamantidis, I know it probably sounds ridiculous or irrational to you, but that's almost a fact for us, The Octopus>Nash.

We will just agree to disagree, but I believe the best players play in the NBA, the only exception was during the Soviet times when players from the Soviet Bloc were not allowed to play in the NBA because it voided their "amateur" status and made them ineligible to play for their country in the Olympics.

ECTYA, I think it is time to update your list. I feel like I have made a strong case as to why I should move up!
