JazzFanz Official Draft Rumors Thread '13

The only way I trade Kanter is if some team is willing to make a terrible deal for themselves. We haven't seen how good he can be as a full time starter. Kanter is a mans version of Kevin Love and look what he's worth.

Sloan could. Calipari and he became very good friends.. Cousins visits Cal several times per year. Cousins is a big kid and immature, I admit, but he responds very well to those he feels knows what the **** they're talking about.

Could coach Antigua (??? that Kentucky coach that was working out with the Jazz this summer)?

Steven Adams could turn out as good or even better than Kanter, but it's risky.

I think that's very unlikely. To date, he has shown no talent or ability offensively. Outside of height, they are not similar players at all.

Okay, so it's looking like......

Noel, Oladipo, McClemore, Porter, Len, Zeller, Bennett, Adams, Karasev, and Caldwell-Pope are 10 players expected to be gone before #14.

One of Burke, McCollum or Carter-Williams will likely make it to #13, depending on what Portland does.

Jazz may just need to get up to 11 or 12 to get one of them.

I've said this before, if Karasev cracks the lottery, one of the following will fall to Jazz: MCW, Bazz, McCollum.

Olynyk and Giannis might also factor in before 14. OKC is making a bit of noise about taking Giannis (probably just trying to get a team to offer them a trade). I'm all but certain OKC would trade 12 + a later pick for 14 + 21.

It's also becoming pretty clear. If the Jazz want Schroeder or Shabazz, both should be there at #14. We don't have to do anything.

Yes. Nothing is more true than this.

DraftExpress: Utah's interest in moving up particularly for McCollum seems to be vastly overstated teams in the top-10 are telling me.

I wonder how legit this is but here goes......

We're hearing from league sources that Nerlens Noel's knee was red flagged by Suns. There's speculation that he could slip out of top 10.

This board overvalues Kanter waaaaayyyyy too much.
Yes, but not his upside. It's through the roof.
The guy goes out and gives you a 20/20 when he gets PT and he's rumored in a trade? I don't care what the deal is. As PKM said, it could be for the 1 and 2 and it wouldn't be worth it. I turn in my Jazz card if this happens and don't feel the least bit of remorse in doing so.

OK, I take that back. If the Jazz were to get Cousins AND the #7 for Kanter, I'd probably pull the trigger. But only if Lindsey hires PKM to mentor/babysit Cousins.
That's a full time job. When would PKM ever find time to post on jazzfanz?
Cousins just said, "Max me or trade me." Kings might like to move him.

Jazz could make it Kanter + 14 for Cousins + 7.
No way I give up any picks for Kanter.
Then the future would be darker. Noel and Favors are about as redundant as it gets, BTW.
