Jerebko - Been waiting for his contribution

I really liked how he added to the team tonight. Good rebounding and is able to hit those open shots.

I like him being a part of our roster!

Yeah I could tell he was chomping at the bit to get some playing time. I'm glad he took advantage.

I feel like our team's depth is gonna be what gets us to the post season. When we have guys like Udoh, Thabo, Jerebko or Burks off the bench making big plays and sparking runs, its going to be really hard for teams to stay with us for 48 minutes.

And Quin just keeps pulling levers until he finds the guys that are going to contribute each night and then he rides those horses. He has confidence in all our guys and isn't afraid to put anyone out there, until the prove they just don't have it a given night.

This, although I thought he let Hood play waaaayyyyyy to much last night. He shouldn't have set foot on the court after he was 0 for 7.

Maybe so. But if you believe he is going to be one of your main scorers you have to let him keep shooting. You cant have it both ways. I'm not sold that Hood is the guy and never have been but those that think so have to be willing to let him keep chucking. Shooters have bad nights.

Agreed. We are gonna need hood. And he will be one of our beat players this year imo

If only Boler, Harpring and Jazz arena announcers would stop butchering his name. Toronto learned quickly how to pronounce Jonas...

Trouble is with Hood is that he does't contribute anything when he's not hitting his shots. Guys like Ingles and Sefolosha contribute in many ways.

Oddly enough, I’m more encouraged by Hood than I was at the beginning of the year. It’s going to be a challenge, and there’s some major development needed. . . but I’ve seen enough from both him and Quin Snyder to believe that they’ll get it figured out. Rodney is a smart guy and a hard worker. If he can stay healthy, he’ll be a core part of this team. I honestly believe that Rubio, Hood and Mitchell will make for one of the best young back courts in the league when it’s all said and done.

I love how Quin coaches, he's a mastermind. Not saying that just because I'm a jazz fanboy.

We looked fire with Jerebko playing the 4, he'd been saving that look to surprise a team.

Yeah, Hayward had lots of growing pains becoming more of a leading scorer. He also had games like this. I'm not worried about his shot being off for one game. He has been shooting well this season. We also don't need him to be the #1 all the time, as tonight showed.

I think Jonas may help unlock our offense a bit. JJ really helped last year when he was hitting but this year has been so off.

I actually feel Hoods defense is better than most give him credit for. The problem with Hood is that he is a streak shooter and will be until proven otherwise.

As far as Jerebko I think he has a role on this team. He may have some DNP's but he'll also have those 5 minute stretches where he can bring the energy/attitude and maybe score a quick 5-6 points.

Hood may not have contributed much offensively, but he helped hound McCollum into a ****ty shooting night. I wouldn’t call that “nothing”.

His defense was good last night. couple steals and got a couple deflections. His shot was just really bad.

I like Jerebko's fire. We need a little attitude out there.
I'm also sick of the no calls when Rudy's getting pushed on every rebound. It will without a doubt lead to lost time at some point if the Ref's don't clean it up a little under the basket for him.
