Jody Sez We Will Be Active

It's all just talk by DL to appease the fans and keep ticket holders continuing to spend money. We've been fed the "financial flexibility" crap for 5 years. Even back in Deron's last season, the big FA signings were Raja Bell and Francisco Elson, IINM. I'm not holding my breath for anything other than selling Booker for a 2nd-round pick and signing Toure Murry.

We are right at the floor... if we don't spend more it's in part because the Millers are penny pinching. We spend so little compared to how good we are... at least in those other years we were above the cap and there weren't obvious deals we could do to improve the team... at least not in the abundance they currently are.

Someone saying a team will be active trade talks is the most non-story ever. Every team says they are talking and have their ears open all the time.

Any second now a huge trade is going to happen... you just wait.

I agree. I like Jody, but he isn't Woj. Just thought it was interesting... It made the Hoopshype page so you know its legit.

Word at the Sandy Best Buy is that we might trade Elijah Millsap for a 2nd round pick and that 2nd round pick for a 2nd round pick.

Possibilities:
--Bigs-
Ryan Anderson (N.O.) -FA this off season
M. Morris (Suns) -Demanding a trade
Terrence Jones (Houston)-depth
Kyle O'quinn (NY)-Depth

--PG--
Brandon Jennings (Pistons)-Reggie Jackson
Calderon (N.Y)- Extra money for next year
Jeff Teague (Atl)-Have a potential starter on the bench, FA this off season.

Could the Jazz move Lyles(lotto pick on reasonable deal) for Jones or Anderson? Then package Booker/Burke for Teague? Jazz could add picks to make a deal work.

Teague/Burks
Hood/Burks
Hayward/Ingles
Favors/Jones or Anderson
Gobert/ Whithley

Make a move Jazz! It's crazy how fast this team fell apart! Ever since Alec Burks returned to the lineup, our whole chemistry was shattered! I think he's a talented player, but selfish at the same time! He's a good trade piece to bring in a confident veteran point guard that can run a team. With Rudy and Exum out, this team is mediocre at best! Bring back Cotton? At least he plays with heart! Maybe all we need is patience and time to heal? Or maybe It's time to light a Larry H. Miller fire up under their ***!

Maybe even crazier but Bulls are over the cap....So what about Noah for Booker? Would allow to get a defensive player of the year (like 2-3 years) while the Bulls save a ton of money.

According to 'Mundo Deportivo' (Spanish newspaper), the Knicks would be actively looking to shop Calderon before the trade deadline. He's got one year left for $7.7 million, could be a good mentor, and for cap space purposes.

Lololol. Hardest I laughed since jose ortiz dick jokes last night

I highly doubt that. Burke is a better player, younger, and on a better contract.

Jarrett Jack is averaging career highs in some stats this year 13ppg, 7 assists and 4.4rpg is pretty good for a 32 year old playing 31mpg and starting..

They liked him enough to buyout Deron to clear minutes for him, I doubt they'd move him now unless they are blowing up the entire roster and waiving the white flag, despite not having a pick -- Which I don't think they'll do.

They bought out Deron beacause they were tired of his ****ty contract and play and Jack was serviceable enough.

32 on an expiring deal... good numbers on a bad team. I don't disagree with the second part of your assessment, but they aren't doing anything this year and would likely welcome the opportunity to get younger. Jack also controls the ball a lot... I guess I don't see the motivation on our side as it feels like a lateral move to me.

There's a rumor floating around the Suns and Rockets are in talks for Markieff Morris

I love that trade for the Rockets... put all the low charisma, moody guys on one team... I'm sure it will work out.
