Wasn't fesenko 7-2 or close to it?
He wast listed as 7'1. He was also never good enough to play for Real Madrid. Even that, he was still a decent 4th/5th big.

Exactly, so what if Fes never really panned out? A guy that big is worth the risk to try out and Fes still had some very nice moments for us. Tomic is more skilled and probably a more focused basketball player than Fes ever could be.
Also, I wonder if Tomic is having talks if that means the Jazz are set on trading Sap/Jefferson. It would be a lot easier to convince to come over if the 4th slot is open.
I thought KOC had said a couple weeks ago that they continue to monitor, but that his contract runs another year. I don't think there's any serious talk about this coming year.
If the Jazz don't really have any other FA interest, it makes sense to get the Tomic thing done this year, if they really want him. Him coming over earlier means the Jazz can start training him earlier.
Could we get anything, at all, for his rights?
Well...if we want someone on the Jazz to be a Pau Gasol-stopper, don't we need this guy?
I doubt Tomic can stop anyone.
You guys are looking at this the dumb way.
If we get Tomic here, the plan isn't to put him on the bench.
Here's the plan:
PG- Milsap
SG- Favors
SF- Kanter
PF- Big AL
C - Tomic
And then we sit back and let the abomination ensue.
You have my attention.
