That is what a lot of posters here seem to believe. But will they ever be able to play together as starters? They seem to be awfully similar: the same height, good defenders, good rebounders, bad passers and no offense outside of broken plays and putbacks.
The problem is that I do not see them getting substantially better in scoring and passing. Favors is the same player offensively as a year ago. Kanter was billed as a skilled offensive player, but proved to be anything but. Of course, there is still some hope for him to develop some moves, but very few centers without hops have been offensive threats in the NBA.
I would say, there is at least a 50% chance for both Kanter and Favors to never become a scoring 4/5. Then we will probably need to trade one of them (unless the Jazz pull OKC and surround defensive bigs with elite scoring guards/wings). Who would you trade then? Or can we still be a contender with, say, a big rotation of Millsap/Kanter/Favors?
