Kanter is not ready to start

Thats funny, The same things big al has problems with...

Beat me to the punch.

Most people have been focused solely on Kanter's game. How he is or isn't ready to start. All you have to do is look around and see that it's him or Al.

The question shouldn't be, "should Kanter start?", but it should be "who would your rather see on the floor, Al or Kanter?"

And how does he fill in those holes fastest, watching on the bench?

The question is who is most likely to lead this team to the next level, Big Al and Sap or Favors + Kanter? Maybe neither, but my money is on the youngin's. Not this year but they get there sooner the sooner they start and get starter minutes.

The jazz though are likely to go with the tried and true, the vets, and settle for being decent and battling for an 8 seed again.

A few games in starting line up will benefit Kanter's game experience a lot, almost more than 30 or more games off the bench. So this is a possibility that must be tried this season.

But the biggest dynamic that stands in this opportunity's way is that the Jazz have a very fresh coach which proved a little more than being decent, maybe a lot more, but yet still need some more achievement to prove he's worthy of being a franchise coach. Tyrone was more stressed about this last year. He'll come around. He's a type that ignores taking risks, but also believes in youth. Another coach would probably give Kanter 5-8 mpg last year. He wants to see them imrove in a healthy fashion.

But he must see that there's no advance in the area of comfort.

Al and Kanter have both been playing better as far as passing out of the double team.
I say it's a toss up between both of them lately.
Although I have been noticing Kanter getting pushed around a little bit by bigger centers.
Being only 240 tends to do that.

Lately meaning preseason? Kanter's actually scoring, drawing fouls, running the floor, defending and (as of last night) making difficult passes. What has Al done this preseason? Dude's playing like **** (albeit against better players).

Repped for always making sense. I should smoke more.

I hate the fact that I'm the one defending Al since I've been on Kanter's side since day one. But I will play devils advocate, Al's a vet and good guy. Hes been there and done that. Nothing surprises him because he's seen it all. The coaches can rely on him and know exactly what he will give them day in an day out. Its not all good admittedly, but Kanter is still an unknown. Guys remember what Thabeet did to Kanter in the first half of the OKC game. It looked like Kanter had never played against a bigger, taller player and he really struggled. I'm just saying Al is not as bad as everyone claims and Kanter is not yet as good as everyone believes.

One more thing, the Jazz have been trying to trade Al for awhile. There is no faster way to kill the remaining trade value Al has then by benching him. You will have to accept Al starting, because they the Jazz will start Al if for no other reason than to protect his remaining trade value.

Did you quit, take a break, or run out?
Exams. Taking a break. Back to my regular schedule on the 30th (with one relaxing night on the 23rd...I suppose it's a bit sad I have this all planned out in advance).
