Kendall Marshall - Our next PG Hope

Kidd lite. Has Kidd ever been known as a shooter?

He has had an NBA career that he shot better than Marshall is shooting, in college, nearly every year. The three years prior to this season he averaged around 42% from 3 for the three years prior. And, he is very undervalued for his end-to-end speed. Marshall LITE .. is guess that's fair. Kidd is elite though .. don't like the comparison.

?? Why are you comparing Kidd's last 3 year's in the league? Classic case of cherry picking the data to support your conclusion.

His 3pt average in his first 3 years were: 27.2%, 33.6% and 32.3%. FG% not much better at 38.5%, 38.1% and 36.9%.

My point is you do get better in time. Don't count him out in improving.

Bolded emphasis to help you understand.
Fine. Kidd's first three years in the NBA, then. Kidd still shot better against better defenders, with a deeper arc, than Marshall has collegiately.

Then there's the speed.

Will rep in the future.

Hayward apologists can use all these excuses. They were already built in as a failsafe on draft night.

He was a lotto pick, we needed good production out of him, and we're not getting it (should have taken Paul George).

Make up whatever excuses you want. But he isn't helping us to win. He's a bust.

Time to gut the 2s and 3s of this team. Keep Burks. But get rid of everyone else.

Off you go now!

What in the world are you ranting about? Hayward is not an all star, but he sure is not a bust either. You can say he has not reached your expectations, but he is no worse than a sixth man in the league in my opinion.

As far as I'm concerned Marshall might be the best Passing pg prospect in years, even better then Paul or D-Will. His vision court awareness passing, and leadership qualities are all off the charts, and more then make up for his lack of athletic and shooting deficiencies. Remember how Stockton could take over a game on offense with out ever scoring a point, this kid has those same qualities. Not to mention he would help both Favors and Kanter develop getting all those dunks and layups. Meanwhile KOC has all the assets and expiring contracts he needs to get one or two shooters, also the memo trade exception. Plus we may end up with two lotto picks.

We can't go wrong with Marshall!

WTF

Why don't you compare like with like then? Let's look at their 2 college years:

Kidd
1st year 3pt %: 28.6%
2nd year 3pt %: 36.2%
Average: 33%

Marshall
1st year 3pt %: 37.7%
2nd year 3pt %: 30.4%
Average: 34%

Comparing both their college years clearly showed Marshall shot better 3pt % wise than Kidd.

Of course Kidd shot better in his NBA career as a whole. That's what we call experience. Don't you think that players get better? What do you think when you draft someone and they just stay the same player throughout their career?

Give me a break.

Alright I give you the speed thing, but to just bully your point across without comparing like with like data is just ridiculous.
