For real.
It's especially bad because he got benched.
A smart GM would knock that deal out before the Spurs game when all his flaws will get exposed.
If only trading was always this simple.

That was my thinking. Jazz may have to give THEM an additional pick.Kings might be hanging up that phone after this game doe.
The one time we win the lottery we get this turd.
Probably about Gobert and more about his next contract.Kanter's numbers have fallen off a cliff the last couple of games; but it's more than that - he's missing wide open shots that he usually makes and looks even slower than usual. I wonder if he's hurt and feels that he has to play through it to ward off Gobert's emergence or he's heard rumors within the organization that he's about to be traded and that's messing with his head.

I would guess the last one. Whenever his head isn't straight forward, he loses confidence and looks clueless. If one of those days he straightens himself up, he will demostrate a lot more than what he is right now.Kanter's numbers have fallen off a cliff the last couple of games; but it's more than that - he's missing wide open shots that he usually makes and looks even slower than usual. So it's smarter to trade a star than a role player?
Yes it is. So are you saying Enes would be a role player coming off the bench at $10-$15M? That's incredibly expensive.
And the year we buy a draft pick, we get Rudy Gobert. #youneverknow
2011 via Brooklyn. I'm a fan of Kanter, but he hasn't worked out how I'd hoped he would have. In hindsight, Thompson, Leonard, Butler and Faried are clearly the stars from that draft. The big debate for the Jazz was Kanter vs. Knight (although I remember some beating the drums for Valanciunas and Vessely also.) I personally wanted a center over a PG, and would have been happy with either Kanter or Valanciunias. Those were my top two players for #3 that year. When did we win the lotto?
