Knicks may be open to trading their pick for multiple, lower picks

If the Jazz got kawhi, and exum got a bit stronger, they could switch almost any time on the pick and roll.

I think Knicks like D'Angelo Russell, so if they get #1, they could trade down one or two spots and still get their guy from a team that really wants Towns or Okafor.

Then it seems kind of strange that they are wanting even more drafts picks in this trade scenario

P-Jax incipitely quoted that he won't trade the pick for a player.(He will for dmc)

We are rebuilding bro.

Next Year knick Roster

pg: Langston Galloway
sg:Matthwes or Jimmy B, in worst case Shved
sf:Melo
pf:Some pf
c: karl Anthony towns

If Knicks select first, KAT will be their choice. If knicks want to trade down, they try to get both 76ers picks for 1st pick.

Knicks future is doomed.:(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((888

Depending on where NYK's pick ends up, I'd be fine offering Burke and/or Burks and two first rounders (not including this year's). While that may seem like too much to give up, think about this: the return would net us either Towns or Russell or some commensurate talent.

If we held on to our own pick this year, we could replace Burke with Kris Dunn from Providence. We've done quite well without Burks so far this year and adding this type of talent in the draft would be a net win for the Jazz.

As for sacrificing future draft picks, we're one of the youngest teams in the league already and we would be acquiring two 19 year-olds this year. I think we'll be fine for a few years, during which time we have a bunch of other picks anyway.

The way I see it, the Jazz are the PERFECT team to offer a good package to the Knicks. We have the high-upside players right now and the draft picks to give the Knicks what they're looking for. The only other team that is in a relatively similar situation is the Celtics and I don't see those two teams making a move of this magnitude that could come back to bite either of them for years to come as they continue to battle each other in the Eastern Conference.

Why would the Knicks, who need to start winning soon, trade their great pick for lesser future firsts? Makes no sense.

but hey they are the Knicks...

You should have stopped at "Why would the Knicks..." At least you caught your mistake in the end.
