What's new

Last game of the season -- Jazz @ Blazers 4/11/2018 8:30 pm MST

I'm thinking with this organization it's all about nostalgia. If the series makes it to game seven on an opponents home court we will rise again as we did last year and that euphoria will come rushing back. The only problem I see with this line of thinking is we're going to win it in six and spoil the party. Oh well, it will still be cool!

So hypothetically if homecourt was not decided by seeding, record, or division winner or anything and was instead decided by the winner of a coin toss getting to choose, then if the jazz won that coin toss do you think they would, A. give homecourt to okc. B. not care either way and instead just let okc decide. Or C. take homecourt? Im 100% certain they would choose C.

Or to put it another way, if there ends up being a game 7 in this series and hypothetically there was a coin toss to determine where its played and the jazz won the toss where do you think they would want to play that game 7? Im 100% certain they would choose SLC.
Good post ...

I think Mexico is fighting a losing battle here. Everything points to the fact that players, coaches, teams, everyone would prefer home court. But if they don't get it, they're not going to let that get in the way. While the odds are not in their favor, teams have won enough without home court to realistically say it doesn't matter -- but it really does. However, if you don't think positively, that you can win it, then not having home court will defeat you. They won last year, against an arguably better team. So, let's see what happens this year.

Yeah, would suck so bad if we won in six instead of seven...
