Last game of the season -- Jazz @ Blazers 4/11/2018 8:30 pm MST

Exactly my point.

Tough game tonight. Jazz couldn't hit open shots, which made it tough to get anything inside. Blazers made a lot of tough, contested shots, which made things a little easier inside, and the Blazers benefited from home court officiating (a lot imo). It was frustrating to watch.

Tough place to play the back end of a B2B.

Jazz were tired, and it showed.

Thankfully we'll have a few days until the next game. We'll be fresh, and focused.

"They were just being physical. I haven't played... I don't think a lot of us have played against that level of physicality ever," Mitchell said. "It's a little taste of playoff basketball. It took me about thee and a half quarters to figure out what that is."

Mitchell is a rookie. He's learning at an incredible rate. And he looked better at the end of the game already. This was good preparation. Let's get it.

Synder outcoached tonight
Why would Neto even see the floor?
Rudy got dominated he seemed slow tonight. Hope he can fix that for the playoffs. Also, Rubio needs to shoot more he is the engine.

True. Who woulda thunk it? Earlier this year no-one in their right mind would have wanted Ricky to shoot more. Lol. That is a testament to the progress he made this year, way to go Rick!

Here are my observations:

#1 Portland was really prepared and focused. They came to play and played well.

#2 The refs gave every call to Portland in the first half. It was comical.

#3 Mitchell got some good schooling which should help in playoff prep.

#4 It is complete and total bullcrap that we had to play such an important game, game #82, on the 2nd night of a back to back. Whoever schedules NBA games is a freaking moron. That should never happen. If our playoffs lives depended on last night, how incredibly unfair that scenario would have been.

We had more turnovers than them and shot worse than them and only lost by single digits on the road. Not terrible.

I'm curious, was Mitchell taking dumb shots? I saw his shooting numbers. Also, screw Crowder. The guy is gonna shoot us out of a playoff game or two.

I can agree with that. I crashed about half time (new sleep schedule for work). I also give PDX some credit on D as they were stingy. Just wasn't our night apparently. Ah well.

It was a much more comprehensive loss than the final score indicates. They killed us .. physical on every play and clogged the paint. No room to move and we were getting pushed and shoved and hacked Good prep for the playoffs, far more valuable than a cushy win would have been.
