What's new

Lillard available?

1, 4, and 7, we'll that's a whole nother story.

Imagine, Fultz, Isaac (like him a lot) and someone else at 7...a pure shooter. You run those three out there at the 1, 2, and 3 next year, let them take their lumps, and get more draft picks next year to fill out the bigs.

You want to know what I don't get? I don't get why Portland isn't selling high on BOTH Lillard and McCollum and racing to the bottom for this upcoming draft. They could end up with 3 picks in the top 10 and more good picks in the next two years.

When Aldridge walked it would have been an opportune time to do it. Now they're stuck with a middling pick, and bloated contracts of Evan Turner and Allan Crabbe

If they weren't stuck with these contracts, then it would make sense to KEEP Lillard and McCollum because they'd have the flexibility to build something around them. But they ****ed up the latter, so it's time to sell the former and reboot. IMO.

I'd trade anyone sans Gobert or Hayward.

Of course the Blazers don't do that, and I can't blame them one bit.

Their offseason was ****ing hilarious. Now, because of all of that cap they blew everywhere, they're thinking of getting rid of the only net-positive assets they have in order to rebuild. ****ing incredible.

But yeah, to echo others, if you can keep Hayward and Gobert, the Blazers can take whatever.

I am not a huge Lillard fan but if he is available I hope the Jazz put in a good effort to get him. Although I felt the same way about Cousins(Lillard isnt as big of a risk but maybe not as big of an upside) I also feel the same about Paul George and Jimmy Butler. Hopefully Quin could get Lillard to play defense but even if not his offense would be awesome for our team.

If any of George, Butler or Lillard is available trade anyone not Hayward and Gobert that they want. I would be sad to see many of those players go but it would be worth it. Any combo of Hayward Gobert and one of those 3 is a legit team that we can build a contender around.

Look does any of you understand why George, Butler, and Cousins are on the trading block??

It is because these teams do not think that these players are stars enough worth investing over 200 million on over the next couple of years. Now look at us here in Utah is Gordon really that player?

Personally I say move him this offseason to the Celtics for some player and the Nets 1st round pick in this draft. Look for a real star to build around.

Favors, Exum and Burks, plus as many pics as they want. Or, Favors, Hood, Exum and picks.

Lillard, Mack, Neto
Hill, Hood/Burks
Hayward, Ingles
Joe Johnson, Lyles
Gobert, Diaw, Withey

That team has everything.

Portland gets a guard to pair up with McCollum, a young PF to stabilize the young un and play some defense and a starting SF to grow with the team.

Exum
McCollum
Hood
Favors

Not a bad core to build around. Plus draft picks. Sit Favors the rest of the year to get him healthy. Let Exum and Hood and McCollum play it out this year. You won't win much, which they want.

Everyone wins.

I feel like the only way they're trading Lillard is if someone takes one or more of their horrendous role players who are on near-max deals.

That's not a big deal for Utah. We have a TON of short term 10 million dollar players. Joe Johnson, Favors, Diaw, Burks, Hill.

For Lillard, Portland can have any two and we get Lillard and one of their crappy contracts.

I don't think Lillard has the patience to play in our offense. Pass.

And he doesn't defend. I'm not in for changing our entire identity for 1 dude.
