The NBA and NBPA met for 12 hours on Wednesday, beginning at 1:00 PM EST and concluding at 1:00 AM EST early on Thursday morning.
David Stern said that the two sides have agreed to stop the clock on their ultimatum offer and continue negotiations on Thursday at noon.
"Nothing was worked out today," said Stern.
Stern advised the media not to read much into the situation both for optimism or pessimism.
What about this?
I said no to that yesterday.
What about today?
Still No.
Let's come back to that. What about that other thing?
The thing we talked about yesterday?
Yeah, that.
It's the same as it was yesterday.
Moving on then, we really got to iron out the whatsitcalled.
We should.
So where do we stand on that?
Pretty much where we left it yesterday.
I see. So if I give you what's in my hand over here, and say I put a few sprinkles on it, snaz it up, how does that change what you put in my other hand?
It doesn't.
(Leans back. Seriously contemplates nothing.)
So lets go back to that first thing...

.....just thought Jason's observations shed light on why nobody cares much about NBA basketball these days.....why most side with the owners.....and why a whole year lockout wouldn't bother the mainstream public at all.
He lost me at "desertification". Seriously, when I see something like that, I lose all respect for the author's opinion.
to clarify a little, CJ's post in part was quoting an article written seven years ago in response to the "Malice in the Palace" incident between the Pacers and Pistons. The article was not about the lock-out. In addition, CJ added stuff to what he quoted that was not in the article at all.
He means the process by which fertile land becomes desert as a result of drought, deforestation, or NBA labor stalemate.
How many pages will this thread be at when the lockout ends? 120?
....despite the fact that his observations were made in response to the "Malice in the Palace".....does anybody honestly think things have changed since then??? What he had to say still stands with the mainstream public! I don't think it was misleading at all! Never did I say it was in conjunction with the present lockout.....other than why people don't really care what happens with the NBA and certainly don't care to see these guys make anymore money than they already make!
You posted it to race-bait. That's trolling. You know full well what you did and that's why you got an infraction for it.
No one is fooled by your "lil innocent me" routine.
