This goes to my little mantra about how our idea of the universe, being contained within a finite skull. . . . . . cannot possibly comprehend it. . . . . .

Because of the non-zero, meaning non-trivial, results of the wave equations. . . . . .

solutions with zero value are in the mathematical language "forbidden" and corresponding "don't exist".

well, there's another aspect to this.

I'd say the best teachers do show you something in the picture that perhaps, unaided, you wouldn't have seen. . . . . .

Correspondingly, the best students are those who go on from seeing what is being shown by the artist, and see other things as well. . . . see more, understand more. . . .

This refers to the kind of power over self, over our natures perhaps. . . . . that can sustain a person on a diet. . . .or a budget. . . . or a person who is ostracized or bullied. . . . .
