What's new

Looking for a new team

Lindsay's biggest mistake was either:

Letting Millsap walk

Or

Drafting Trey Burke.

Both those moves have held back this team so much. Lindsay was set to take Giannis and Gobert with the two picks he traded for Burke. Whoops.

Good news is that I think they have a really good team that will only go up from here.

Here is the problem and the ultimate truth in the OP. This statement has been the mantra for a decade or more now. Look at our young team, look at them try so hard. They can only get better, right? Oops, guess not, let's get another new young team. Look at them try so hard, they can only get better, right?

I know that there are many that are going to rag on you for this post. I commend the balls that it took to post this. You are frustrated and want to see success. Believe me I get it. I grew up watching a Jazz team that was consistently in the playoffs for 20 years. I get frustrated too. However, there is nothing stopping you from being a fan of another team, and nobody can convince you to stay a fan nor should they. I can tell you my reasons that I stay a fan, but would it matter? I am a fan because I will root for the Jazz through thick and thin. Some believe that you have to support all front office decisions made to be a fan and this is not true. I often do not support their decisions, but I will continue to hope for the best, and hope that one day the front office will pull their head out. Most fans will support bad decisions that they make, and that is why nothing changes. You should speak your mind without fear of what others think and then stand your ground. If all fans released their frustrations and demanded a winning team, the front office would have to make changes. Fans don't so they won't. We sit and wait hoping that they are spending the team money wisely. When we miss the playoffs consecutively, fans just chalk it up to a rebuilding year and hope that the next one is better. If they fill seats, the remaining Millers see and think that they are successful. They think that the fans are satisfied. And they are right. SLC has no other professional sport to offer other than our soccer team. Fact is we could post the worst season in the NBA and still fill up the seats. Greg Miller doesn't care. His dad did, he doesn't. I am sure that if the seats stopped being filled that he would sell the team because he doesn't care. All you can do as a true fan, is wait and hope for the best. Accept the team for what they are, and be realistic, not ignorant. Will we win a championship in the next 10 years? Absolutely not. Could we? Of course, any team could. Be real though, championships go to teams that take smart risks. The Jazz are not one of those teams as of right now. Maybe one day we will be.

I don't see this as a problem

Utah is a loser team, only retards support the team, and and its decisions like trading away assets for nothing to be where they were 5 years ago, have fun watching this shthole

In case anyone missed it before, I like to print out this thread regularly and wipe my *** with it.

Having said that, the one thing that Frank has gotten right in this thread, and possibly in his entire life, was that DL kinda screwed the pooch by taking back Pleiss and a crappy pick instead of RJ. However, that's all hindsight expertise as Frank has certainly mastered. The concern with RJ was the same as with Anes, in that he would be massively overpaid for a player that had legitimate question marks.

Keep in mind, Frank believes Trey Burke will blossom under a new system and DL blew it by paying way too much for Alec Burks.

Stay tuned...

Ahh, tough guy might have potentially found my only bad call in, what, 5 years of posting on JF? I'm staying tuned as well. I almost want to be wrong just to prove to myself that I'm still human.

The next inevitable rebuild has been evident since the last one started. It's almost shameful that anyone would root for such a train wreck of an organization. I mean, how much abuse are you willing to take from an organization before you grow a spine? I've said for several years that if I had one there is now way I continue on as a Jazz fan.

Good luck with the next rebuild folks. I guarantee you it is coming.

And yeah, I realize the currently apropos argument on JF is that a championship mentality no longer matters. Losing in the playoffs is the ultimate reward.

Hogwash. Getting to the playoffs is the next step, not the final step. Something widely spoken about and acknowledged on here.

Nope. Ask Siro and several other posters. Most now only want an LA Clippers brand in the Utah Jazz. This take is about as out of touch as fishonjazz stating that Randy Foye was generally liked around here. He was hated. Jazz fans are not rooting for a championship, only entertainment value added.

One poster does not Jazzfanz make. This is no rebuttal on my post. If you do not believe me make an anonymous post with a poll.

I was supposed to rebuttal hogwash? (and also your commanding verdict thereafter?)

What do you want from me? To quote 1000 posts begging for the Jazz to end the tank and simply put a mediocre team on the floor? To post all the highly filtered 1280thezone.com discussions about "making teh playoffs is teh nex step"? No thanks.

The Utah Jazz don't have the mental fortitude to win a championship and apparently neither do their fans.

For some reason that made me laugh. If you want to spin some big theory that Jazzfanz generally does not want a championship than fine. I think you are absolutely wrong. There are lots of disagreements on how to get there but that is the overwhelming goal.

We can leave it at that.

LOL I love the genuine, heart felt posts you provide. However, you apparently have no clue as to what business is about and how the Miller Co operates. Winning a championship is far, far, far down the list of any priority of the Utah Jazz or Miller Corporation. That would merely be a nice side benefit (that everyone knows will never happen in Utah so long as misguided, mismanaged, cheap ownership is at the helm).

You apparently have no idea on how to argue without trying to change the argument. This wasn't about what the Millers goal was. This was what the goal/argument on Jazzfanz is. Those are two separate things.

I would be inclined to agree that the Millers may not be as dedicated to winning a championship as Jazzfanz wants them to be. I hope they step it up this offseason or it is another wasted opportunity.

Edit: I do try to be genuine, thanks lol.

You've had like a month, and multiple suggestions. I thought you would have found a new team by now.
