What's new

Looking Forward

Completely disagree. Bell has proven worth. CJ has none. Bell is a 40% career three point shooter. CJ is a career 33% three point shooter. Bell plays knows how to play defense and can mentor Hayward (what's the difference between Horny working with Hayward and Bell). Bell has a lot of experience that can help a young team. CJ has proven time and again he is going nowhere. For 10-15 mins a game, I'll take Bell any day of the week.

You say CJ has won as much as Bell. CJ has sat on the bench while his teammates won, Bell has played when his team won.

Finally, CJ can walk at the end of the year. We are stuck with Bell. Do we really want both on this team next year?

Your Jazz-fan-hood clearly outshines mine, Killa, but your understanding of the term "size-able" is lacking a bit.
I think it's his understand of the term "fan" that is lacking. "Fan" and "clueless" are by no means mutually exclusive.

I think it was Watkins who first stated that, or maybe his name was Kostanza. I'm not sure, but he was a good egg... I hope we get him back.

My hope:

PG - Harris
Price gone. I wouldn't mind Watkins back, but I doubt he stays
SG - Hayward/Bell
CJ gone. I know a lot of people hate Bell, and I hate it when he plays, but he is the only veteran on this team that knows how to work hard. I think his example on the team and tough defense 10-15 mins a game could be invaluable.
SF - Evans
AK gone. I hope above all hope that AK is gone. I don't care about next year. Do we really want to sign him for 4-5 years just so next year we win 10 more games? I say no. Let him walk, take our lumps and lets build this thing right.
PF - Jefferson/Millsap/Favors
C - Memo

Let everyone else walk. That leaves the Jazz with 8 players. Add in a draft pick or two and sign 2-3 more scrappy players and lets see if one of them will turn into a valuable bench player. Hope we hit the lottery big time next year, with Memo's money add some valuable vets and in 2-3 years we are contenders again.

Your insights are the worst ever.

Overall, I think Bell may be more valuable than CJ. They both are atrocious offensively. Bell gives you hope that he can become more consistent as a backup. CJ will never be consistent. Bell has won in the NBA. CJ hasn't. Bell knows what it takes to win and play defense. CJ doesn't.

Sorry if this is disjointed. Trying to use a phone.

Ok, I was confused at first, but that explains it.

Somehow your phone was mixing up the words Bell and CJ. You should probably upgrade.

+1.

Bell could help a young team if they were winning. Bell on a team that is struggling and having problems is a disaster waiting to happen. Bell has shown little patience in working with young guys while a team rebuilds. He does not seem to have the personality for it. Bell at this time in his career wants to win and be competitive. I liked the bell signing when we showed signs of being competitive, now he needs to go. Bell is easily move able. His contract is not too bad and a lot of teams may be willing to take his contract on. Nobody is giving the Jazz anything of worth for him but he could be moved. In fact he may be willing to accept a very small buyout so that he can go to a team to be competitive.

Finally you claim Bell has "proven worth". This is now, Bell's proven worth disappeared through the course of this year.

CJ has shown this year in flashes that he can be a really good player. He is super inconsistent. Has Bell even once in his career shown the ability to score 40? How about 30? CJ in his young career has probably broken that 25+ point mark more often that Bell in his career at the age of 34+.

Finally, CJ can walk at the end of the year. We are stuck with Bell. Do we really want both on this team next year?

You meant to say the Jazz could choose to not exercise their team option and could let CJ walk.

Wow. Two posts in, and I have somehow attracted the fan police. If I am "utterly clueless," and I might be... Shouldn't I be posting harmless questions in a free public forum (as opposed to making factual statements of little substance)? It's a damn shame that there isn't a place to ask questions about the Jazz without having a know-it-all jump in - somehow simultaneously adding little substance to the conversation (or questions) at hand. You'd think that such an informed forum member would respond with some answers (or substantive comments), especially if that member has made over 4,000 comments in less than a year. Good Lord, Killer, you are truly a despicable animal.

Although your understanding of the term "size-able" may (or may not) be up to snuff, your ability to comprehend simple exclamations suffers...

"God bless the Jazz" doesn't imply that God HAS blessed the Jazz. The phrase is a beckoning, implying that - in the beckoner's (if that is a word...) mind - the Jazz need the blessings of the Almighty. Similarly, "God bless America" doesn't imply that God HAS blessed America. It implies that the conveyor of sentiment desires the blessings of the Almighty on America.

Over 4,000 posts and you are still a socially retarded know-it-all that, in fact, knows and contributes nothing of substance.

I too wanted to make fat jokes, but this was surprisingly refreshing so I'll pass.

KEK, you gonna let this rook bulldoze your *** or what twinkie fart? Better put that NAMBLA mag down and step it up for round two.
