What's new

Looks like the "vaccine argument" just got a little more interesting.

Healthy food, herbs, vitamins, minerals, filtered water, some chiropratic adjustments, and massage therapy are legitimate medicine, recommended by your typical AMA member as the need is warranted. One of the classic tricks of the alt-med con men is to take legitimate medical understandings and treatments, slap the label "alternative" on them, and use them to prop up the respectability of nonesense like acupuncture and homeopathy.

Let's not get started with the AMA, and the fact that particular lobbying group only represents less than 17 percent of all doctors now.

Why it was only a few years back, that even the AMA and the majority of insurance companies also called filtered water, chiropractic adjustments, and message therapy so-called "quack science."
One of the classic tricks of the "popular medicine in the United States con" is to convince powerful organizations like the AMA that less effective treatments like chemotherapy actually have a good rate of helping a patient survive.
Or in the dental field convince the ADA that fluoride is actually good for the body.

nonesense like acupuncture and homeopathy
You might have a little argument with chinese doctors still studying ancient chinese medicine to this day.
Whereas the chinese are some of the healthiest, and thinnest people anywhere.

Good for you.
Straight up.

Because otherwise, you'd just be wrong. Can't have that.
Na.... I admit when I'm wrong, as I did take back what I said earlier about you having things in common with those posters.

It's something I toss in when an argument is so bad, so disconnected from reality, I make an audible sound of amusement.
Makes sense.

In other words, it doesn't fit with your conception of reality, so you pretend the question doesn't exist.
I know the industries are all interconnected, and all you have to do is watch the way their lobbiests in Washington work.
They all have the same goals, and they all endorse the same policies, practically every time without fail.

Physics hasn't changed since Newton, while the Theory of Relativity, Tectonic Plate Theory, The Theory of Evolution, modern agriculture, etc. is "complete eugenics". *chuckle*
Haha nice.
I never meant for it to sound like I was challenging modern physics as the Theory of Relativity, and Tectonic Plate Theory seem pretty obvious nowdays.
I don't believe in the Theory of Evolution, because I am a man of God, so obviously I believe that theory is a joke.
As for modern agriculture, they have succeeded in stripping almost all vital nutrients of out our main U.S. crops, and continue to feed us pesticides that kill other living things.

Health insurance companies make greater profits on healthy people. You know, profits and all.
Nope.
Health Insurance make greater profits by sniffing the butt of our current president, and lobby pushing Obamacare into existence.

Because they love spending money so much? You know, profits and all.
I think you and I both know that the money made by insurance companies is infinite compared to what they settle for after a drug or vaccine mames or kills someone.

Do tell. What is this source of funding to the health insurance industry that outstrips their hundreds of billions in premiums?
I already mentioned ineffective treatments like chemotherapy.
And also like I said before, health insurance companies and Big Pharma are all interconnected financially.

Because they love shelling out tens of billions to drug manufacturers? You know, profits and all.
What do they care?
The profits just cycle back into their pockets anyway.

I agree, they are interested in profit. Thing is health insurance companies make more profit by keeping my healthy, not by keeping me medicated.
They could care less if you are healthy, because they rarely pay out much anyway unless you are of higher class bracket.
Anyone in a lower class bracket would run out of coverage for anything serious.

Thank God I wasn't here to endure most of this garbage argument.

Why it was only a few years back, that even the AMA and the majority of insurance companies also called filtered water, chiropractic adjustments, and message therapy so-called "quack science."

Many of the claims of chiropracters are quack science, but the quackery is in the claims. If I sell you willow bark (contains aspirin) for a fever, that's medicine. If I sell that same willow bark to cure your colon cancer, that's quackery.

One of the classic tricks of the "popular medicine in the United States con" is to convince powerful organizations like the AMA that less effective treatments like chemotherapy actually have a good rate of helping a patient survive.

You mean, you think double-blind studies that report successes and failures are tricks, but reporting only successes and ignoring the people who die, as the alt-med con men do, is not a trick?

Whereas the chinese are some of the healthiest, and thinnest people anywhere.

People who ca't afford to eat as much food as Americans tend to be thin. Who says the Chinese are healthier?

I know the industries are all interconnected, and all you have to do is watch the way their lobbiests in Washington work.
They all have the same goals, and they all endorse the same policies, practically every time without fail.

I agree health insurance companies have he same basic goal as pharmeceutical companies. The question is, why would they in your worldview, when health insurance companies want healthy customers to make money.

I don't believe in the Theory of Evolution, because I am a man of God, so obviously I believe that theory is a joke.

There are more religious people who accept the evidence of evolution than there are atheists who do so. HNowever, thank you for making it clear you will believe whatever you like, against all evidence. I will adjust my opinion of you accoringly.

Health Insurance make greater profits by sniffing the butt of our current president, and lobby pushing Obamacare into existence.

I agree, but that does not change that they also make more profits from healthy patients.

I think you and I both know that the money made by insurance companies is infinite compared to what they settle for after a drug or vaccine mames or kills someone.

Irrelvant, since health insurance companies don't get sued for allowing someone to take a drug. owever, they do make more money from a healthy patient than a sick one.

I already mentioned ineffective treatments like chemotherapy.

health insurance companies pay for chemotherapy. They do not make money from it. They lose money on the patient who receives it.

And also like I said before, health insurance companies and Big Pharma are all interconnected financially.

I believe that is actually illegal.

What do they care?
The profits just cycle back into their pockets anyway.

In what fashion? Describe the process by which health insurance companies make money when paying for expensive drugs.

They could care less if you are healthy, because they rarely pay out much anyway unless you are of higher class bracket.
Anyone in a lower class bracket would run out of coverage for anything serious.

The typical lifetime limit for a policy in 2000 was $2 million. What do you call serious?
