I think the 13th worst record has something like a .8% chance of getting the first pick.
Sounds about right, was just yankin his chain.

Sacramento and Toronto win. Detroit is challenging Chicago![]()
Basically a four way tie for the pick right now and we can only afford one team to pass us. Hard to see that happening with this killer schedule to end for GSW and the other team's recent runs:
Mon, Apr 16 vsSan Antonio 10:30 PM Tickets
Wed, Apr 18 vsLos Angeles 10:30 PM Tickets
Fri, Apr 20 @Dallas 8:30 PM Tickets
Sat, Apr 21 @Houston 8:00 PM Tickets
Sun, Apr 22 @Minnesota 7:00 PM Tickets
Tue, Apr 24 vsNew Orleans 10:30 PM Tickets
Thu, Apr 26 vsSan Antonio 10:30 PM TNT Tickets
We probably need the two wins agains Minny and the Hornets along with one more "upset" win against ... a resting Spurs squad on the last day of the season????
That would be a dramatic way to end the season. They lose the next 4 and then win out!
One quick thought... and I apologize if its already been mentioned. But if GS ends up 7th, and then any team below them (8 thru 14) wins the lottery and gets one of the top 3 picks (and assuming GS doesn't also win the lottery), then it would bump GS down to 8th and we would still get their pick, right? From what I can tell... there's about a 10% chance of any of the 8-14 teams winning the 3rd pick in the lottery. So the odds of getting any of the top 3 picks would be a little above that. Odds still obviously aren't great... but still thought I'd throw it out there. Now if GS ends up 6th... our chances are pretty much out the window.
It's more like 30%
10% is the odds of teams 8-14 getting the #1 pick
30% is the odds of teams 8-14 getting a 1-3 pick
The lottery's fixed. Stern will teach these tankers a lesson.
If GSW isn't purposely trying to tank, they aren't doing a very good job masking it.
