Lowe: The Basketball Tournament Rule Change That NBA is Watching

I kinda like that though. I watch both long and short movies. Both have their strengths.

It would put defensive teams at a real disadvantage though. Jazz would play much longer games than a team like Houston. The wear and tear would add up. I like that teams can go with different styles and win this would gear teams towards fast offensive games.

I do like this idea. Although defensive teams would still play more minutes than offensive teams across the season. This would punish the Jazz and their slow pace. More minutes played means more injuries.

I don't know. I suspect that a player is more likely to get injured in a game with a high pace than a low one. I can see an argument that inadequate rest would cause injury but I don't think that a player is more likely to be injured in overtime for instance. They may even be less likely to as they are tired and may slow down a bit. This is different than coming into a game energized but with still healing muscles and bones from your previous game.

I think the opposite. Slow pace teams run more sets, which usually means more screens. Running through screens is hard.

The ending to this Hawks/Celtics game is super ****ty. Would be way better with this rule.
