Magic Johnson...no better than an "alley cat?"

William Jefferson Clinton, I'm sure he MUST have some tattoos somewhere. Just because we haven't seen them doesn't mean they aren't there.

For the most part, I just feel sorry for the kid in many or most of those situations. But I wont take a hard line on it like I am sure Grand Master CJ will.

I have two sons who were born out of wedlock. I am thankful for that each and every day.

You are specifically thankful they were born out of wedlock?

TRUE celibacy. Ectoplasmic relations notwithstanding.

That and their birthmothers realized they wouldn't be able to take care of them so they placed the boys for adoption CJ sees sin. I see gifts.

Sweet.

Good point YB... I didn't want it to be a blanket statement like CJ does. I just mean that there are a lot of single mothers out there... some great, some unfit. I just feel sorry for the kids that don't have good parents or both parents in many cases.

...it's certainly no sin to adopt a child or children......the sin that was committed was the unwed pregnancy. Adopting children is a noble cause IF you can care for all of there needs, physically and materially as well as spiritually. Many adopted children come to realize that their biological parents did not simply abandon them—although that happens all too often these days—but presented them to some agency that would ensure that they would be cared for properly. And their subsequent adoption occurred because someone loved them enough to undertake their care. If you've done that, then I admire you.

How is that a sin when the very person worshipped by every Christian was born out of wedlock?

As for your adoption comments, yes there are isolated extreme cases of people adopting children and then not taking care of them, but with all the time and expense that is spent on the process, before even adopting the child, most are in it for love and that they can't or won't have biological children.

....Jesus was not born out of wedlock, as he had no earthly father.
