Malone is Super Engaged in working with Favors

Awesome scene yesterday at ZBCC. Karl Malone on floor working with Derrick Favors with Jerry Sloan watching. **To say Malone was working Derrick Favors might be an understatement. He was driving Favors hard. Both were very engaged **Malone's coaching was impressive. Worked hard with Favors on low post position, creating go to move. Malone had plan and was COACHING **My understanding is Favors and Malone were scheduled for two days and Malone stayed an extra day to work with Favors for a 3rd yesterday

@Lockedonsports on Malone/Favors: "Initial reviews are out of this world...I doubted this...I couldn't have been more wrong..."

Malone is working Favors hard and is engaged... Discuss.

Karl gave up on "hunting for little Mexican girls" and is now switch hitting?

You're reaching on that one, bud. I'm definitely excited to see how this turns out. Maybe Malone can teach Favors that sweet turn around "J".

For those begging for Malone to work with the Jazz for years this is a sweet day....

and the best thing its for free.

Apparently on Lockes podcast he was busting his ***, working him out like "are you mad at me yet"
I love this...

Ya'll might as well read all of it:

Agree. I was just playing around because of the words "hard" and "engaged." I'm ALL IN when it comes to having Malone work with Favors and hopefully Kanter and whichever big(s) we draft or sign as their backups. Turn around "j," learning to rip up with the fist on defense to knock ball out. NBA has taken away the elbow and extended foot, but Karl has other tricks. And just the relentless work ethic. I know Derrick goes to P3, but I'm happier he is actually focusing on his game. I'll bet Karl, even at his age, is running him over in the paint right now.

Will be fun to see Favors with a lot of 15 15 games next year when he finally gets the minutes.

Karl could probably still average 10 and 8 in the NBA today. The guy just has awesome work ethic but I can also understand the FO's hesitancy to bring him in as a coach. Seems like he is saying and more importantly, doing all right the things with Favors so far. If Derek takes these lessons to heart and Malone continues with this approach we could very well see Derek Favors in the all-star game very soon.

Hopefully not until 2015. We want Derrick to have a solid, but not spectacular season so he can be re-signed to a reasonable deal. Also, so the Jazz can finish around #5 in terms of draft position for 2014.

Not only that but they had Sloan there as a 3rd party observer with tips and insights. Having Malone and Sloan all to your self with the sole intention of making you a beast? Sweet lord that is awesome.

Agreed. And +1 for the stealth tank. If the basketball gods were truly kind the Jazz would fire Ty Corbin after they finish with 30 wins and hire Brad Stevens. PKM is going to will this to happen, I have faith.

Hopefully it works, otherwise the Jazz might have to pay out the *** to keep a one-way player.
