Most of those calls are of the variety that they could be called at any time coming down the court. The issue is refs are conditioned to call fouls based on player reactions and JV is fully committed to the flop n flail. They will call enough that it will be a consistent them this series.

Really solid pts here. Not sure if I've seen a star player fouled out in such a short amount of time. I remember Dwill had some foul trouble in the 2007 playoffs. It was the same game Brown nearly broke his neck, AK47 played point forward, and DFish came into the game halfway through and hit some big 3s. But usually star players don't have foul trouble nor do they foul out in just 25 mins. It's not like JV was Shaq and just punishing us inside on every play.

It's funny because I think it was one of the last couple games of the regular season I asked in the game thread if foul trouble was even a thing in the NBA anymore. Foul watching was a major past time of mine back in the day and I had started noticing that no one was ever in foul trouble on either team this year. Welp, here we are in the playoffs and Gobert is having to sit major minutes because he's in foul trouble and he eventually fouls out.

I thought we signed Bogey to be the stretch 4 and Ingles was going to be the point small forward? Wasn't the whole point of ridding ourself of Favors and signing Bogey to provide more space and shooting because Ingles wasn't enough?
