Memo vs Turkey

I thought you were a Turkish guy, who lives in Switzerland. Translation is:

First of all, you have to live in Turkiye, not in Switzerland to make judgments without restraint. You have to live the changes of the last 11 years, fell how your freedom is being limited each passing day. If you are working in public sector, you must live the fact that you have been exiled from your current city to somewhere (from L.A. to Alaska for example) because you are not part of the specific Islamic community (Fethullah Gülen, google him) You must fell the pressure of the local community, and how outdated Islamic traditions are rising and taking control of the people's behavior again. Last but not least, you have to endure situations like if your wife who wears a skirt 1 inches up the knee, people might judge and regard her as a prostitute.

This is exactly my point before. This is also why I'm happy that these riots happen - it's a good sign.

It's not right when people have their basic human rights (i.e., freedom to choose religion) stripped away from them.

Hopefully this sends signals to all the other Islamic countries as well.

PS: Go Okur!!!!

This says a lot about Memo the human being.

The guy has a smoking hot wife, beautiful kids and is financially set for life - he could be home sitting on his couch smoking his bong and watching soccer on his Satellite TV. Instead he's out protesting in a country that doesn't exactly have a stellar record on human rights.

Now if he only would have learned to play defense.

he plays gazillion times better than fat AL Jefferson a.k.a big boobs.

Memo is protesting the pawn prime minister with everyone else. He is supporting the people of Turkey that demands him to step down. He is an honorable man that cares about his nation more than comformist worries about his wellbeing like most of the other celebs that should go **** themselves.

There is an increasing support from the celeb side of Turkey though. Why am I telling you these, you probably don't give a ****. But maybe it may add smth to your knowledge about Memo.

We do absolutely give a ****. This is big news. I still can't believe that in this day and age, there are still countries that combine Law and Religion. There should be freedom to choose religion. If Memo and these guys succeed, this will send a clear signal to all the Islamic countries/states that the people in power can no longer hide behind the laws of a religion to govern/put down its citizen anymore.

As far as I'm concern, this is now one of the biggest development in the 21st century.

I haven't done a count but I suspect the freedom of religion countries are still in the minority.

That's why this is such an important step.

It's becoming clear to me that the problem isn't Islam, it's people who USE Islam leading to controlling of people, starvation, corruption, killings, etc.

This has to stop.

there were protesters marching in Chicago over the weekend in support of the Gezi protesters

Yeliz Okur posted photos of the marchers on her instagram!

If you do watch the series "Borgias" you can see there's not much difference in all religions.
