Don't you guys heard about the "jeffersuck curse"?

I tell ya it's not that easy to play alongside the laziest man alive.

This team has some good quality hustle players, damn Millsap was one of them, Carrol, guys who can play D, but FO chose the BigAL way.

Jordan? HAHAHAHA, dude was a dick to his teammates. Keep talking out your ***.

Uh-huh. Cuz he never complimented the play of Kukoc, Kerr, Pippen. Riiiiigghhht.

Please, keep making personal comments. Everyone knows that "intelligent people" make personal jabs when trying to strengthen their arguments.

You're being too harsh on Millsap. He's worked his *** off to become a good NBA player, and it is understandable that he wants to start. And while I always found him to be a bit on the whiny side, he never struck me as a drama queen (Deron) or locker room cancer (Bell). He should show more support for the young bigs, and he should accept a role as a bench player, because that's what he's best suited for. But he remains a quality player that has helped out the team for a very long time.

I couldn't give two ****s as to how he worked his *** off to improve. Whatever. Good for him. It is understandable that he wants to start, but guess what? It is MORE understandable that Favors SHOULD want to start, yet he continues to take his benching and lack of minutes in stride. He isn't a drama queen because he isn't nearly the calibre of player that DWill was. Yes, he isn't Bell, but what is that saying really?

I think we give this dude WAY too big of a free pass. Its hilarious.

Millsap's play has fallen off. There could be a number of reasons: insecurity about his role with the team; frustration with Al (especially his poor defense); Corbin's indecisiveness -- who knows. But I think a big problem for all the players is that they've lost confidence in Corbin and it's affecting the play of everyone except Hayward, probably because he's the only one whose role on the team has grown.

I agree with this statement. I think that the looming Free agency as well as Corbin has hurt the team. I am of the mindset that Jefferson, Mo, Millsap, and Watson will not be back next season.

Letting the 4 young guys take over the team might be the best thing for our future at this point.

i agree most of this. This might be the first time I have read one of your post Eenie-Meenie that isn't just a hate filled rant. Well done. Repped

When Millsap scoffed at the notion of following in Malone's footsteps or being in Malone's shadow I knew he wasn't who I thought he was and that if he couldn't accept that he IS in Malone's shadow he'll never accept that Favors or Kanter are our starters and he isn't.

I'm done with Millsap. If he can't embrace a bench role then we don't need him.

So, you guys care about Millsap.

Why does no one care about Carroll? Kanter? Evans? Favors? Burks? Hayward?

He should shut up. He gets more minutes than he deserves. Same with Fatterson.

Who said I don't care about Carroll, Kanter, Evans, Favors, Burks, or Hayward?

I would like to see more of a Hayward, Burks, Favors, Kanter, Millsap lineup... with Carroll and Evans coming off the bench.
I like Evans, but I'm not high on him as a real contributor unless I can see some sort of jump shot... but I like him on the team for what he provides at how much he's paid.

My main worry is getting a real point guard that can see the floor, make good passes... and hit the open shot if needed. We do not need a chucker at the 1.

I agree. But it would probably take at least a few more losses to get to that point.

Indeed. We need to be out of the playoffs picture. I cannot think of a worse thing right now than winning games. Any true Jazz fans should be rooting for the team to lose their next few games.

I still can't bring myself to do that, but I certainly won't be devastated if they keep losing.

Apologist here. Dude doesn't generally offer up much of anything in interviews. He wants to be on the court, competing, which is a good thing. He has never said he deserves to start or that the decision to put him on the bench was wrong. Let his play do the talking.

So he's taking the vow of silence?

Perhaps because this thread is about Millsap's comments. You should go back and read all the fan complaints about playing time for the players you mentioned. Most people on this board have a problem with the minutes and how they are distributed.

I really thing the comments are not any thing bad. I would worry if Millsap didn't want to start. He has worked his butt off to be a starter. Favors was not exactly happy when he was benched or got few minutes. NBA players have big egos and they most of them think they should start. Unfortunately, having Millsap come off the bench would be better for the team and Millsap has given some indication that he prefers to start but I wouldn't call it whining or complaining. Geez if a reporter asks you a question, what is wrong with answering truthfully?

My impression of Paul and I have read several comments from Ty and his teammates, is that Paul doesn't talk much at all. Millsap has been the Jazz best player the last few years and I think he could play a huge role in a championship team, but at this point I do not think Paul wants to be a sub off the bench nor does he want to get paid as a sub. I can't blame the guy.

Fans usually think with their hearts and feel Paul is being disloyal but the NBA is a business and the Jazz are going to do what is best for them so why can't Paul do what is best for him when it comes contract time?

I have no problem with what he said and quite frankly I think people are just looking to find some to complain about. Just because Paul isn't a rah rah guy doesn't make him a bad person or teammate. Perhaps this is his personality.
