Milsap is Gone

FYI, this doesn't mean Paul is gone, it just means the Jazz can't go over the cap to re-sign him. If the reports are true that the Jazz still have about $7.5mm of cap space (I haven't done the math), it would likely be easy for the Jazz to clear the space to sign Paul.

They should see if they can clear enough to at least do a sign and trade. Losing Sap for nothing sucks.
 
I absolutely loved Millsap his first few years with us. He played with passion, grit, and energy.
I just didn't see that same player very much the last two years. He turned into a jumper shooter,
lacked energy on defense, and just seemed to indifferent to everything. I realize he is a passive guy,
but he used to be intense on the floor.

RIP MANSAP. It was a fun ride (but time to move on...)

Again, reading is fundamental. I was just pointing out a factual error in the OP, not saying Millsap would be back.

Stay in school, kids.
 
The Jazz can't use their amnesty on either Jefferson or Biedrins, can they? It's Greg Millers' money, so I don't care one way or another, but using the amnesty clause would allow a sign and trade for Millsap, right? Or is that gone since they have to renounce his rights?

Amnesty would also give the team another crack at a cap dump around the trade deadline to pick up more assets. Amnesty Jefferson (if it's possible) and then do a sign & trade with Millsap to grab another pick and a trade exception. Then play Rush and Biedrins off the bench, but try to flip them at the deadline for something as well. Accumulate assets. Get as many shots in 2014 as possible.
